Yeah, shooting is awful on the team, but hopefully there can be some improvement

all we need are dunks

Sochan knocked down 3/5 3pt in the preseason. He’s been working on his shots all summer.

This is why starting both Tre and Jeremy was always an awful idea. Devin and Jeremy were also both in the bottom-10 in FG% at the rim in half court settings, and imo that was in part a result of teams packing the paint due to the Spurs’ lack of consistent three point threats

Who needs 3s when Wemby is eurostepping from the 3 pt line anyway?
(obviously I know shooting is important, and Tre & Jeremy have been specifically working on theirs)
prenup-nibba
Yeah, we have had bad open 3 shooting for a while. Idk what it is. Frustrating seeing our guys work the defense over, get open and brick it. I started holding my breath more for contested 3s.
Veggiedelite90
Main reason these two can’t play many minutes together. Although I think they’ve both been working on their shot and hopefully will improve.
Moviepasssucks
I don’t find this concerning at all. They both aren’t shooters. Sochan is improving closer to the basket but 3 pt isn’t needed. Whomever starts between them at PG, the rest of the lineup can space and shoot 3’s.

With Sochan, it’s more forgivable.

On the bright side, this means that our spacing is technically improved when Sochan starts at PG rather than Tre lol

A missed 3 is basically an alley oop for Wemby, so all good.
Lunchcrunchgrinch
Is the implication that they shoot better when contested?
leoo88556
This was last season, right? For these young guys it’s all about the improvements from season to season, so fingers crossed.

I’ll be concerned when Pop is. 😂
Mangoseed8
Sochan the next Giannis. Book it.
Sean888888
And that’s why Pop was staggering their minutes towards the end of last season. There’s no way both of them were gonna start this season.
bsiffy
Can only go up lol
LurkerFlash
Is this a surprise or something? Yeah, that’s why replacing Tre with Sochan is only a tradeoff between defense and table-setting.
Imaginary-Cycle-1977
It’s not awesome, but it’s kinda known, right?
They both only shoot wide open 3s and their percentages still stink. Sochan’s shot is so busted he started shooting one handed free throws last year
Look at it this way…if they could both shoot, we probably wouldn’t have Wemby!
notcool_5354
Good. A battle between the and sochan… I think team mates will put a poster of their ranking for fun

This is part of why neither is the long-term answer at PG
