Deshaun Watson will NOT play for the Cleveland Browns this Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks as he recovers from a right shoulder injury, head coach Kevin Stefanski announced on Wednesday.
That means PJ Walker will get action in his third straight game for the Browns, as he’s the new QB1 for the time being.
Walker led game winning drives against SF and Indianapolis already this season, but his play has left a lot to be desired.
Is it the right move to sit Watson and let him rest?

Smart thing now is to shut him down for the rest of the season and go look at someone like Carson Wentz, or, if you can get him Jacoby Brissett with the idea they could be a reasonablly priced QB who we could start and win with while carrying the dead cap weight of the Watson contract through next year and possible into 2025 and even 2026.

A week of reps will make the difference in PJ'S game. The Deshaun Watson drama was driven by the media to make it look like the Browns are incompetent. There are 11 games to go, there is time for Deshaun to get back to playing games in 2023.

Fans and media needed to see that Watson couldn't play. Still have some saying they think he can play. He can't. Still have some saying he can play and heal. Truth is this injury will get worse the more he plays. Micro tears get worse if you stress the muscle and throwing hard stresses the muscle. Bernie Kosar confirmed that.
