Guys, we are just prepping for 82 “clutch” games this year…

#If you don’t like that, you don’t like Heat basketball !!!

Super fun opener! That’s the Heat we know and love! From a blowout to a heart attack in 5 minutes! Gotta give credit to the Pistons. They’re not a playoff team but they were long and blocking the hell outta us all night and even battled back after falling down 20. Cade looks like a proper bonafide #1 pick. They just couldn’t overcome a typical young team’s shortcomings (terrible turnover woes 1st half and fouled an awful lot biting on simple stuff like pump fakes). I also like Isaiah Stewart. All I knew about him prior was the Bron fight last year but he’s solid.

    Now as for our boys…

    * Jimmy started well, missed a # of gimmes in the 2nd half. Still Jimmy. Bam was good.
    * Herro was **SUPER** aggressive early on good looks and missed a bunch. Evened out in the 3rd Q a bit and he was just flat out bad in the 4th Q. Disheartening to see him get annihilated at the rim so much.
    * JJJ hype train has officially left the station. I see so much of the “poor man’s Jimmy” comp tonight. Solid steal early, capable D, the acrobatic finishing at the rim.
    * Given how Cunningham cooked us all night, the fact Dru Smith in the early 2nd Q had a possession where he made his life hell before eventually forcing the TO I find a lil noteworthy

We’ll see how good this 2nd unit is against talent superior to Detroit but tonight was a fun watch minus the collapse towards the end. Can’t complain about 1-0, Boston on Friday should be fun.

If you don’t like almost blowing a 20 pt lead to a lottery team, then you don’t like regular season Heat basketball

  5. Rangotango92

Now that’s the heat I know and love

  6. MediocreDVaMain

No other way to open the season by making us all almost lose our collective minds

  7. DIFTS24

Wins a win just Jesus Christ was that an ugly ending. Need a Point Guard badly

  8. JimmyButlerMVP_

Anyone else got flashbacks at the end there?

  9. hshshahsbss

Holy shit I was so scared that was gonna go in Cade was going off the whole game

  10. nomoreshiny

Herro is fine, on average he is going to show up, I don’t want to hear no slander on the man

1 point win, 20 point win… doesn’t matter to Papa Johns. 50% off tomorrow let’s gooo

  12. The Heat are 1-0 when Sylvester Stallone is in the building!

    The three certainties in life:

    1. Death
    2. Taxes
    3. Heat blowing a lead to win a close game

The Love/Lowry/Herro/Jimmy/Bam lineup does not look great. Minutes outside of that lineup led the game by like 10+ the entire game. That lineup has to be a negative that game

  15. oneofone305

Why wasn’t Duncan in the game late?

  16. fokerpace2000

Pistons looked super improved from last year minus all the turnovers. Gg

  17. Outside_Mousse_2176

Other than the final 8 minutes of the 4th quarter, we were solid.

  18. Kevin Love looked like he was getting Vietnam flashbacks after missing that 3-pointer

  19. Kapisillit

The herro hate is giving me a headache already. What an insufferable fan base we have

  20. TheRatchetTrombone

Lack of preseason cohension plus fucking complacency at the end nearly fucked us there.

  21. Healthy_Possible_754

Can someone tell me WTF Lowry did all game?????? So many mins for what?

  22. Trendelthegreat

The starting PG had zero shot attempts for 99.9% of the game, but people want to blame the bad offense on tyler

This sub gets dumber every year I swear
