  1. HEELHousell

Jacque Vaughn moves in mysterious (bad) ways.

  2. Byrinthion

*Sigh*… a good old No Call finish for the Nets. Man it’s good to know the season is back on.

  3. TwinPeakyBlinders

Really tired of losing to the Cavs like this lol

  4. mytoemytoe

Cam was forcing his way to the rim all game in a good way, not the shot you want to settle for there

  5. AyyyeRudy

Selling against Cleveland is traditional, garbage final 2 minutes

  6. SensibleHumanBeing

Knew we lost this with that turnover to the Donovan Mitchell dunk. The momentum changed

  7. lxkandel06

I hate how predictable that ending was

  8. KingofthisShit

4th quarter choke job. Still back on our old shit.

  9. let’s face it, we’re going to have a lot of heartbreaks like that this season. Fuck.

  10. Mintoxicatedlyace

Blame Vaughan for that. His refusal to play Simmons on defence and a pg on offence screwed us.

  11. EliManningham

All on JV. Asking Mikal and CJ to be primary late game initiators when you have Cam T off ball and Spencer on the bench is terrible.

  12. shahoftheworld

Rotations need work. They need to work on end game strategy. They showed potential though. Hoping for a fun season.

  13. BasedGodProdigy

The most Nets game I’ve seen. I expect a lot of these type of games this year…. again

  14. Generic_Commentator

Not a JV hater by any stretch, but I don’t know how you don’t have a legitimate ball handler out there to initiate the offense with a late lead.

If Dinwiddie isn’t out there to do that, why’s he even on the team?

  15. depressedpr0phet

Ah yes, we need a defensive stop so we keep Ben on the bench.

  16. BucktoothedMC

We HAVE to get to our shit quicker. we waste like 16 seconds of the shot clock every other possession.

  17. Gnar_Susuwatari

I hate overreacting but that final 2 minutes was just embarrassing. Nobody wanted to take control. Not even a sniff of dominance in any of our players. That final shot… jeeez.

  18. mweint18

Lot of growing pains, no chemistry yet, very raw. I wouldnt put much stock in game one. JV looks to still be figuring out the rotations and was trying to go hot hand. Cam Johnson has a lot of rust from being out of preseason.

  19. Pulsar-GB

Vaughn overthought his lineups at the end there. Too many rotations made us unable to get any rhythm on offense. Cam Thomas NEEDS to be the guy in the last few minutes with eh ball in his hands. Bridges just doesn’t have it in those moments and we saw it last season too

  20. Master_Minddd

How do blow a 6 point lead that quickly

  21. CarisLeVertsBurner

Loss is 1000% on JV. Fucking crumbled in the fourth. Tried to close without Cam until he finally realized how stagnant the offense was. Started winging it with smallball lineups that still somehow didn’t include a point guard (or even Cam handling the ball instead of Royce or CamJ, for that matter)

  22. TheRealCheddarBob

    Absolutely choked the game away

  23. GreenpointKuma

JV has absolutely no idea what he’s doing. Just another snake oil salesman with a love of poetry. It’ll be the same post-game comments as last year, as well.

  24. JohnFish2734

Surprised Ben wasn’t in the last mins of the game and I’m not a Ben Simmons fan. But felt like we needed a point there. Actually Dinwiddie wasn’t in either

Still a good game, the team still needs to learn alot

  25. Gg homies. We’ll get em next time. Let’s talk about the positives. Cam Thomas with a historic season opener and DSJ looking like a good pickup. Hopefully JV can find the right rotations.

  26. OdellBeckhamSenior

Game is on coaching. Why the fuck didn’t we call a time out on that last possession and reset. Why wasn’t Simmons on that defensive possession??

  27. broooooklyn

Sold hard. Why are our forwards initiating possessions late in the game, those turnovers were completely avoidable.

Ben should’ve been in on that last defensive possession. Mitchell clearly pushed off but CJ should’ve never been in that position, guarding the best player while coming off an injury.

Last possession CT just had to go, not wait and pick up his dribble. Refs missed JV using a TO

Rough loss. Hope they get better from it.

  28. MisterMaccabee

I just can’t take this organization seriously with Jacques Vaughn as its head coach. I just can’t. The team isn’t good enough to have a bad coach. For the life of him he has absolutely no idea how to coach on the fly and make adjustments. How much tape do we need on him to know this? Good lord LOL. Gonna be a loooong season…

  29. melodyfelony

Bridges only operates at his peak alongside a star. Making him the #1 option just doesn’t work

  30. FranklinRichardsStan

What were those final minutes by Vaughn?? Not playing Simmons when we need a ball handler and defender but instead having Royce do that and then drawing up that final play?? And if you aren’t going to play Simmons at least Dinwiddie who’s a legitimate ball handler would do.

  31. jelanijetson

No reason for Royce to close the game over Simmons

We needed a facilitator and defense in the final moments and had neither

  32. 0xUsername_

I actually thought Ben looked good when he came on in the 4th quarter. Bizarre JV took him out when he needed a ball handler and defence. Terrible coach.

  33. Nektiap

I know they are worried about Ben and free throws but you can’t sit him for end of games all year. Let him play and improve through it. With him and Bridges we have two guys who can get stops. Last couple of minutes were played like they were hoping to get lucky and win…

  34. GamblingMan610

That ending was so dumb, unacceptable closing lineup
