  1. This Nuggets ring is the absolutely best ring ever made. It is very simple compared to other championship ring

  2. The Broncos 1997 or 1998 ring always seemed like the first "modern" SB ring to me. The SF 1994, Dallas 1995, GB 1996 rings all still blend in that classic look to them.

  3. Once you put together that these are trophies shaped like jewelry and not everyday wearing jewelry the sizes and details make sense.

  4. The Raiders are a horrible team and organization now. However, they have the cleanest and classiest Super Bowl rings ever.

  5. As a kid I had no idea that the teams commission their own rings. I thought this was a standardized "trophy" of sorts given out by the league. Every year when the rings get revealed there tends to be lots of bragging about this ring having more diamonds than any other before it and it's become a competition of who has the most expensive ring. So in that sense it be obvious that the rings would start to get gaudy because you can only add some many diamonds before it starts to look ridiculous. If I was an owner I would want something that looks more trophy-like, but then if you didn't spend the most money on rings that anyone ever has then your players would probably accuse you of being cheap.

I think some of it is a generational thing. 40 years ago "bling" wasn't a term and you would never think of male professional athletes wearing jewelry but times have changed. A ring that looks gaudy to a middle-aged person like me wouldn't necessarily look gaudy to someone in their 20's, which is what pro athletes typically are. It is primarily for the players so it probably makes sense to go with what looks cool to a 27 year old. Though this and the LA Rams one has compartments that open and slide out and that's just asking for them to break in 20 years. No matter what, I would want something that seems firm and solid.

  6. With championship rings in the US, isn't the tackiness the point? I do however believe that teams are somewhat cursing themselves with turning these rings into wearable bedazzled toasters: When it's too big to fit another one right next to it, you're not going to win another one any time soon.

  7. It's a championship ring not a wedding ring or engagement ring or a fashion ring of course a woman isn't going to like it.

  8. They refuse to have a good take about the Nuggets on this show 🤦‍♂️
