I believe nba and nfl players are chasing more fans away with their behaviors. Now we got nba ex Dwight Howard acting and confessing to foolish behavior. From getting arrested, to hating on each other etc. .when's it going to stop? Sports is getting ruined by some players and poor refs making outrageous calls, tanking, faking injuries. Amin is completely right here. Rogan might be misinformed on some things and a little more agreeable to his guests than he should in some cases. But language like โdangerousโ is wild. Are men going out and beating their wives and offing themselves after listening to him?
Mike is making an argument for the suppression of dissenting voices. It is wild that we can no longer have nuanced conversations about things. It is way more important to virtue signal than to make intelligent arguments supporting your position. Charlotte and Mike are intellectually lazy.

Great discussion, but what Charlotte described with the league having all the lock down ownership of the clips…that's MLB. Major League Baseball was the most popular US sport, until it wasn't. Then MLBAM came around and it REALLY wasn't.
I have been a daily listener since 2017 and have wanted to comment many times but never actually have. But hour one of the podcast today (don't love the YouTube incomplete clips but whatever) was absurd. I would have loved to have heard Charlotte's concerns about Joe Rogen. Amin and Mike repeatedly spoke over her, put words in her mouth, and assumed what she meant was so so typical. Dan also failed creating space for her to speak even though he knew what was happening. This type of dominate masculine discourse has predictable results 1. Women ending up flustered and inarticulate (and I guess reading a book instead of trying). 2. Women shutting down and refusing to try to enter the space. 3. Women code switching and adopting aggressive masculine styles (Mina Kimes is the rarest exception). Each choice has negative repercussions for women, not men. AND YOU GUYS KNOW THAT!! Charlotte, sharpen your rhetoric . You are right about Rogan. He is terrible for men. White American men have been having a full on mental health crisis around identity for years that continues to be largely disavowed with comprehensive accounting and theorizing left undone. Screw Einstein, research that. Also, don't casually dismiss Robert Sapolsky's ideas on free will without at least having a passing understanding of his points. It would have taken about ten minutes to listen to a YouTube interview with him to have an actual informed discussion on the premise. What he is saying is particularly useful when looking at people like ATHLETES! Love you all, trying to help.

you all need to really listen to Rogan…not just the snippets that are pushed to the media…he is very well read and researches his topics….he is not some meathead spouting off anything and making it stick…you need to listen to his reasoning for his opinions….they are not to be polarizing for the sake of polarization….and he is very liberal in most of his ideas and foundation…and he is a major force in helping others gain success….think he is getting a bit of a raw deal for the most part….
