No Joe Grumpymax today? I think they'll figure it out even if last night was disappointing. Ned to rebound better though.
After watching the game feeling disappointed. Your left with more questions an concerns. The only positives were Bane is set to have an All Star Calibre year an X played his role well as Mr Reliable. But that's it, if Des being the only offence an X our only rebounder where going to have a tough season. Jaren an Kennard were no shows an the team shooting was no better than last season. Killed in rebounds an second chance points. It's only one game like you said but the feeling that fans are left with is 5 -6 games from now we be still having the same conversation. That's the concern. Hopefully next game against a good side in the Nuggets the Guys can put some confidence back an show some fight. Go Grizz!!
The game is a prime example as to why just shooting threes can't work. We lost by 7 despite the poor offense. Jaren Jackson Jr needs to play inside and out not outside in. Bane give you 30 Tillman and Smart give you 17 pts. Our defense was good, pelicans got more rebounds caused of the miss threes.

True, it's game one, but that was embarrassing!!!!!! 1) If there was any doubt about Adams, why wasn't this addressed during the off season? Why does my shooting guard have the same about of rebounds as my 6'10 big man who KNOWS we need him in the paint? Is the coach going to continue to let them throw up a million threes again without sitting them on the bench for not going into the paint?
I'm not responding to one game. I have been saying consistently for two years that the Grizzlies need a back up center who is a rim protector. It's been obvious during the p;ayoffs damichael and I'm visually imnpaired so how does management not see it.
For those of you watching for the first time and asking yourself did this guy watch the same game that everyone else watched? The answer is yes but you have to realize that his favorite player of all times is Jaren Jackson Jr. Last season he went as far as to say that Jaren should be the Grizzlies number one option instead of Ja Morant. In HIS mind Jaren struggled because he was triple teamed the entire night…what everyone else saw was a guy who got absolutely bullied and embarrassed just like he did this summer on the world stage at FIBA. His father had one of the prettiest shot forms in the league yet his shooting form is absolutely ridiculous…and that's a shame.

To me, the only thing that was surprising about last night was how poorly we shot the ball. Everything else was pretty much as expected.
I agree with a lot of what you said. I also think it's on the coaches to get J3 the ball in better position, use some off-ball movement, hi-low and mid post touches. Just giving him the ball on the perimeter to iso won't work. That go-get-a-bucket offense isn't the answer.
Do the coaches not like Jr. or something? Down to 2 bigs and he couldn't even get 5 mins, in a gm where they needed rebounding and scoring is strange.
Mistake a lot of analysts and fans make: rebounding and defense are about will and determination. Yeah, but no. Sometimes you just need bigger bodies on the floor to be a better rebounding team. And most times the more athletic, longer, quicker guy is a better defender. It's not always about whether players want to or not.

Why isnt jaren shooting mid range shots? It will be so easy for him. Even giannis shoots mid range shots and jaren is a much better shooter then giannis
Something I’d like to see a reporter do is rather than ask the coach about Lofton, go to the locker room and ask Lofton why he showed up to camp so out of shape? Ask Lofton how long he thinks it will take him to get into shape? Maybe ask him why his preseason game to game box scores were subpar?
