The Toronto Raptors picked up win number 1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves as they competed defensively. Scottie Barnes stuffed the stat sheet despite a poor shooting night, and the team was helped by an overall balanced attack. Let’s talk about what the Raptors need to fix ahead of their matchup against the Chicago Bulls tomorrow night as they open up the season with 3 games in four nights.

A live tomorrow for your standings and award predictions would be cool
Tomorrow's Live: Talk about the training camps and opening games for the all the other rookies we talked so much about around the draft. You touched on Ausar Thompson. How about Anthony Black, Cason Wallace, Kobe Bufkin, Jordan Hawkins, Cam Whitmore, Keyonte George, etc. Also I'd love to hear a discussion of what other likable teams we're all cheering for besides the Raptors. Our secondary teams.
I wish we gave Gradey, Malachi's minutes, and just played a little bigger when we had that 70-60 lead.
We had the lowest score of winning teams, i consider that encouraging.
Raptors 43 wins this season…Pascal needs to go
Does anyone know exactly why Malachi Flynn is getting minutes? Like any reason? Is he like a fan favorite or something?
Watching Scottie wait for that dunk and then after the next play rush past three Raptors to inbound the ball to Pascal to run out the clock before anybody else on the court even noticed made my day. He does those little high IQ things under pressure situations that very few player do and then is also physically capable of making a block, go past 8 players to make a touch pass on the run to OG under the basket.
Once he starts to be less unselfish and confident in his own ability to drive it down the other team's throat he will be a total Beast of a Unicorn.
i didnt watch the entire game tn was watching bilal and amen BUT barnes stat line was insane.
46:37 yoo this is facts tho, i cant see us try and create shooters out of thin air. NOBODY will respect that action league wide. this is why i think 1st sub should be gary for siakam. or gary for jakob.
51:10 even though rockets lost, sengun is looking like MIP to me unreal post touch.
Some of it is precious though. I seen twice he could have found the guy in the corner but his head was down staring at his defenders feet. Definitly needs some more experience in this offense.
I find it hilarious that we are 5 and 0 this year and people are complaining about who gets what minutes. The this coach do his job he obviously knows what he’s doing.

Great live again Rob. Tonights game showed their offense being clunky. But at least it was a faster tempo than last years half court offense that seemed like they had glue stuck on their shoes.
Almost wonder if they playing Flynn hoping he strings a few games together and some gm sells themselves on giving up a second round pick or something
1:06:30 –
Scottie/Gradey/McDaniels/Otto/Jakob
Koloko in in place of Jakob would be interesting lineup Aswell.
Wow, what a difference in play style, was actually nice to watch in comparison to most of last season. When I got home from the game last night my brother asked me how I liked Dennis, I said I like his energy but he holds on to the ball too much sometimes…..as a Lebron/Laker fan he smiled and laughed.
The team looks a little rough offensively but that's something I was expecting with an actual offensive system now in place. OG looked great especially when he had put the locks on Edwards in the 4th, was just beautiful to see. Scottie was ridiculous with the Block Show he put on, once that buzzer went for the end of the third I was amped to go into the 4th quarter, knowing it's 4th Quarter Scottie about to come out.
The minutes to Malachi had me frustrated was confused why Otto or Chris weren't out there instead.
Some fans that were in attendance were a little annoying, the loudest they got the entire night was for a standing ovation they gave Gradey when he checked in…Gradey has a bright future I'm sure but a lot of these fans seem to think he's going to step in and do what Scottie did…not sure if that's the fans fault for being gullible or MLSE promoting Gradey in Toronto like he was a top 3 pick. There's no way Atlanta, New Orleans, or Dallas are promoting Derek Lively, Kobi Bufkin or Jordan Hawkins the way MLSE is doing Gradey right now.
Let's Go Raptors!!! Bulls Up Next!!!
Fred with an inspirational 14/5/1 in 34 minutes.. we took a loss not brining him back
Part of me wants to allow guys to gain confidence, but the other part of me wants Flynn out of the rotation. Have at least 1 playmaker (Scottie, Dennis and Pascal) on the floor at all times. Chris Boucher and Otto Porter would be better options over Flynn.
