“I thought (Henderson) was nervous, for one,” said Billups. “I think the main thing that happens in this position is you want to play good so bad, you know? And that can kind of overtake you, so it was a lot probably coming at him. Look at who we were playing against. That’s a good team, they’re out there to prove like ‘Nah, not against us. Not tonight.’ That’s another thing that you don’t even think about.”

“Obviously just got to learn from this one, first one of the season, it’s a long season so just got to learn from it,” said Henderson. “I think I could be way more aggressive knowing that teams know that I can pass now, so just got to look for the attack, try to get in the paint a little bit more.”

Westbrook and Paul George went hard against the kids, I guess it was finally payback for Dame splitting up the OKC team.

Scoot got ranked above Westbrook on the ESPN top 100 and Westbrook was playing against Scoot like he was personally offended by it, it really was like when little bro thinks he’s ready to play with the big dogs and the big dogs decided to show little bro there’s levels to this game.

Kawhi was also absolutely incredible, I think with it being the Clippers home opener with their core actually being the most healthy in 4 years they wanted to go hard to show the NBA they are still in the conversation.

I think Scoot can be a starter but I think it was a poor decision to start him for this game with George, Kawhi, and Westbrook starting. He got thrown right into the fire. And when he started looking good was in the late 4th against the backups. He’s not ready to be going against Paul George and Kawhi and that’s fine cause he shouldn’t be ready to go against dudes like that.

I’m glad they got their ass kicked. Great opportunity for the young guys to realize that this is a grown man’s league and they have a lot to learn.
