We’ve had the personnel to be so much better on defence than we have been the past couple years, especially with Yak. The over aggressive philosophy of Nurse really did us no favours.
I think the team as a whole can definitely be top 10 defensively. They have the potential to be top 5 for sure especially the starting 5. I think the bench lineups are going to bring them down though. We’re going to see a lot of 90, low 100 point games from opposing teams.
There’s no reason we can’t be top 5 if we have a good year. OG is a legit DPOY candidate, Scottie is a beast and is going to a DPOY level player one day too and then everyone around them from Pascal, Jakob, Dennis, Precious are all + defenders. Even Jalen McDaniels looked good for the most part, only real weaknesses are Malachi and based on last night maybe GTJ who was gambling like crazy

Don’t tell him that a top 10 defense would be one of the best in the NBA
OG and Scottie are both literally all-defensive caliber players. My only issue with Scottie is he can take the odd play off.
Add Jakob and Pascal to that and there’s no reason they shouldn’t be a top 3 defensive team in the league.
