The New York Knicks had their season opener against the Boston Celtics and unfortunately didn’t get the result they wanted. But we saw a few bright spots from the team, including year five RJ Barrett. From being aggressive, getting to the line, showcasing his game and his confidence, RJ gave you everything that you wanted to see. We didn’t see a slow start, instead, we saw a strong one. RJ may have just put the league on notice, that he has arrived. Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

RJ had a solid game last night Troy but to say that he’s arrived is a bit of a stretch. He looked good but he got his 24 points on 20 shots. IQ however got his 24 points on only 11 shots, rebounded the ball, distributed the ball and played stellar defense. IQ is poised for a breakout season and will establish himself as our 3rd best player while closing the gap on number 2. IQ needs to start next to JB. Appreciate all your work. We must beat Atlanta tomorrow. LGK!

RJ’s defense was fantastic. Good clip though 👌🏽. A lot of teams will keep a starter with the reserves. Boston always had Tatum or Brown in with the 2nd unit.

RJ has arrived. He showed that in FIBA winning the chip. He’s ready to continue on what he ended during the playoffs last season because he came alive there as well. He’s ready to breakout with all this talk about trading t him, Julius and Mitch with picks for Embiid. I want to see him flourish.
