I'm not crying about the Mavs' defense this game. Wemby's newness is both an advantage and a disadvantage. It's obviously a disadvantage because he needs to adjust to the NBA, but it's a big advantage because no team yet knows how to defend him. The Mavs had the pleasure of being his first regular season opponent, and you could tell that Kidd was largely throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks.
I feel really quite good about that win. I wouldn't even count San Antonio out of the Playoffs just yet.

I like Lively simply because he doesn't stand around. If he isn't setting picks he's roaming to keep defenders honest and when a shot goes up you see him floating towards the rim getting ready for rebounds. Definitely could improve more on defense i wanna see him challenge more shots, and getting a consistent jumper or floater could make it more difficult for opponents to guard him since drop back defense to stop the roll ain't gonna work.

NBA messed up when they gave dallas the job to welcome wembanana. Luka, Dlive and Kai stole the show. They should have given it to a shit team, maybe like the rockets. So the alien could have dominated.

Dereck lively literally saved the mavs season. Also adding grant Williams via sign and trade. They now have a legit 4 and 5 man which they didn't even remotely close to have last year.

Good job sir! Agreed with everything, DLive allows the Mavs to unlock more of Lukas potential. But not just Luka, Kai will also utilize the new big as he did during the last preseason game with DLive. Looks as if they figured out the lineup in the second quarter and it shows. Mavs lost that first quarter but won out the rest of the game.
