And teams are also willing to trade stars if they know they aren’t going to sign an extension and the Heat FO even acknowledged we don’t have enough to win a binding war
I mean, he’s right, unfortunately. Bam is our only asset that other teams are really interested in. Anytime a star asks out and Miami shows interest, more than likely the only guy they’ll want is Bam. It sucks, but it is what it is.

Teams that have won the last couple of years have an all time player (lakers/warriors/nuggets) or went all (raptors/bucks) in for a game changing player. It’s cool to be one of the last standing but even better to be the last one and we haven’t done that in the jimmy butler era.
