The thing that frustrates me about this whole thing is that Keldon LITERALLY got fouled on that first drive towards the end.
It was the right decision for him to drive and attack when the mavs have been hacking all game but the refs JUST DIDNT CALL THE FOUL, and it turned into a 4pt swing in the mavs favor instead of a 2pt spurs lead. The last 2 minute report just came out and strengthens this point.
Keldon played great last night. I will say the SECOND drive he made where he dropped it was inexcusable, but to see SO MANY people disparage KJ after he played great is insane.
In 48 minutes, wemby would've scored around 32-33. For what he played, he did well. Scored 9 in the 4th in his first nba game while in severe foul trouble. And took over the game for a short while in clutch time
The people whining about Keldon are probably the worst performers at their own day jobs. And F the refs. Nobody paid a ridiculous amount of money to hear them blow their whistle.
Tony Bothers has always hated the Spurs 🤷♂️

Have u read the last two minute report? Keldon got fouled. I agree that wemby shouldve had more touches but damn cut kj some slack. You do realize these boys kept the spurs at bay for the duration wemby was in the bench right? Come on clan. It’s one game. Chill
Im glad that you mentioned how poised wemby was when he reentered in the 4th qtr. His body language said a whole lot. And i know a whole bunch of mavs fans wont acknowledge it but i bet they got worried there a bit and wemby was about to win the game.
Too bad they didnt keep feeding him the ball. But i also agree with what Noah said on twitter. Thats not spurs basketball. Wemby can take over any time and it will happen many times in the future. But pop is there to teach his team how to play like a team. So i can see that side of his argument.
But i will say in Keldon's defense, he was probably given the greenlight by pop to be agressive in those last possessions. And vassell also forced a few shots that were complete bricks. He even got blocked on one. They stopped passing the ball and couldnt handle mavs defensive pressure. I think to mavs credit they were also forcing the spurs to not pass to wemby and thats why it was difficult for them to pass him the ball. Sochan even lost the ball to luka on one occasion. Mavs defense was everywhere. So when kj forced those shots innthe paint, all he sees is red. Pop dont call him a mustang for no reason.
Yo did u know wemby scored the same amount of points as Tim in is debut,on the same exact percentage.Also they both a 2 assist.I guess it’s just a spurs thing🤷🏾♂️.

I think Tre Jones should've stayed in the last few minutes, he was very impactful and would have the recognition to look for Wemby. Sochan was overhelping sacrificing corner 3s.
I think Keldon was just exhausted at the end of the game, and that led to some poor decision-making.
Think about it: The Spurs first unit did a lot of running in that first quarter, the players aren’t’ in basketball game shape yet, and Keldon was also playing some pretty intense energy draining defense late in the game.
I also have a sneaking suspicion that the original game plan called for Tre to close out the game as ball handler, instead of subbing out.. Tre was limping slightly after he got fouled in the last couple of minutes of the game, because he banged his knee on the defender that fouled him. He was still savoring his right leg when he went to the benchj, and never came back in.
I’m watching the game again rn and the way Luka was setting up Derek Lively is what we need from our spurs players to set up Wemby. We need somebody that is a straight up badass passer. I don’t know if we have that on our squad rn.
