Victor Wembanyama finished with 21/12/1/2 steals /3 blocks

What a game from him, a complete force on the defensive end and the times it felt like the spurs need a bucket and we’re able to get it to him he was able to create. His reverse two hand jam, baseline reverse one hand jam, and go ahead bucket to send the game to OT not to mention crazy energy in OT. So glad he’s on the spurs GSG.

Fucking we building another Alamo and have Wemby protect it by himself

  2. partyA119long

Man was a typical rookie through 3 quarters. What I witnessed after that was unbelievable

  3. YellowLocrian

Started off slow and then remembered he’s a generational talent lol.

  4. People were talking crazy at halftime, they don’t learn

Stumbled a bit at first, but man he dominated the end of the game. It’s impressive how poised he’s looked at the end of both games this season.

  6. First three quarters shows he’s still a rookie at heart, and that’s fine. Last quarter and OT shows the potential everybody sees. Just needs to tap into that reliably and dudes gonna live up to that generational hype. So damn fun watching him!

  7. GPopovich

he bricked so many 3’s in the beginning. still needs to understand the flow of the game

Lol he’s so fucking good. Looked like he was just having a rookie game and then..

  9. Extreme-Transport

Wemby really turns it up at the end of games, he has that dog in him fr

  10. Please stay healthy man. God damn I just wanna watch this dude every night.

Future’s bright for this team. Wemby and Devin are both incredible.

It’s wild how he comes into the fourth quarter and just gives you whatever the fuck you need. Whether it’s a buckets and or clutch defense he just does it.

His presence on d was amazing in the 4th + OT. There were plays where he was lost but locked in hard at the end.

Watching his game tonight was like watching a taller Giannis, see even his 3ball was shit. I love his game

  15. siphillis

He really just needs to chill on all the moving threes and he’s gonna dominate night in, night out.

  16. In crunch time, Wemby locks in. That double block on Smith and the spin/reverse spin on Brooks for the 18′ inbound catch and shoot over him were absolutely epic.

I think Pop basically let Wemby (and whole team, in general) play more or less free for the first 3 quarters. Or at least, encourage trying different things, test some moves, let threes rain etc.

And then, if game is close, 4th quarter is more organized, less experiments, more focus on good plays.

    Nice approach for young team.

  18. It’ll be a few years, but Wemby actually is a real hope for a quadruple double.

I don’t want to see any Chet slander on this thread. Can’t we wish for both longbois to run the league for the next 15 years?

That said, I saw an instagram post combining Wemby’s first game highlights with Duncan’s first game highlights and everyone was like “glazing bruh.” Shut up morons, if it was 19 y.o Duncan (knowing nothing about how his career turns out) vs Wemby for first pick, no one thinks twice about picking Wemby.

Is this man just a crunch time specialist? 2 games in a row he changed the entire flow of the game in the 4th lol, he just ran into fucking Luka Doncic on Wdnesday.
