Obviously he’s incredibly upset here, but a very mature response which reminds a lot of Lowry after a loss, puts the blame on himself. I hope he has the memory of a goldfish regarding last night (as we all should).
This team will have its growing pains, no doubt about that. But last night I think we really saw a glimpse of what an offence with Scottie as the facilitator looks like. I think you can put him in that Jokic-esque role where you have him either as a high or low post playmaker, with a lot of off-ball movement.
If someone doubles him he’ll always find the right pass, and if you have people cutting just to move the defence it opens up a lot of space on the floor. He was easily our best player tonight and hopefully and deliver another special performance tonight.

He is upset because he wanted to win so badly
Didn’t say anything negative about anyone
He is driven and has clear goals
Nothing else you need from the franchise player

It’s a learning process and he will now use this experience to fuel his growth to something great

Hugs out for Scottie!

This is exactly what being great is about #4! City of Toronto believes in your growth!
He jumped on the pump fake and knows that shit really cost em a win. Yeah there’s other factors, but he’s taking his loss in a mature way.
Nolsby
He also got crushed on the floor by Coby White. I was wondering how his head and face were feeling.
Plantedballer
That’s our guy. He feels the loss to his core
TheCouchEmporer
He will learn from this.

The road to 81-1 continues

Now that’s a leader, a guy who takes accountability for mistakes he knows he made. Last year, Fred would’ve blamed everyone but himself. Be great 4.

80 more games to go my man! You have every right to feel upset and gutted but on to the next! 💪

Keep your head up Scottie. Short memories.

Nahhhh look what this game did to my guy. He was making super saiyan finishes

Scottie is a legend. He’s taking blame for something that isn’t even his fault. Did he make mistakes? Yes, but so did many other playerrs on the team down the stretch. Scottie was the main reason why we were even in the game in the first place, and hit a giant 3 in OT to tie the game up.

So many factors led up to that loss. It was the Raptors game to lose. Chin up, on to the next one.

This is the leader the Raps need. If Fred was still on the team, he would have blamed everyone but himself. Glad Scottie is different and taking his errors seriously. Learning experience and growing pains. All good.

He’s definitely more upset than this sub, which is rare. Last night was weird in every way, and he was our best player for most of the night. His hands are huge, so he’s still a little clumsy at times…but that will change

Super mature reaction for a young guy. We love you Scottie
Winter_Purpose8695
this is how I want my franchise guy react to a loss like this. Hopefully we bounce back tonight
Iliketothrowaway2456
I like he’s taking responsibility instead of trying to scapegoat others, but is he reading off a script Lmaoo

Scottie is me when I look at my chequing account.
Thick-Ball25
Lots of blame to go around. Head down, work hard and move on. At least they showed the fight to get back into the game. Growing pains.
nmad95
Taking accountability shows more maturity than some guys older and more experienced in the league. Last night was UGLY, no two ways around it. And Scottie played great, but he also made mistakes down the stretch. Both things can be true. Seeing he cares more about the win than the personal achievements shows his character. Scottie is going to be great

Seeing such maturity from him makes me feel like this is a big W for us

Pascal can’t have the ball anymore down the stretch, those days should be over. If this franchise truly wants to turn the page, Scottie needs to have the keys and the vets need to co-sign. He should be taking those shots down the stretch. I recognize this comment is unrelated to his blunder on the jump, he obviously needs to work on those aspects, the finer details of bringing things home down the stretch.

Respect. Shake it off. Whole city is behind you and we are patient and believe. 🙏

He played great, I want to see him take the last shot though. Pascal is terrible in crunch time

Did…. did he just become the franchise player during this press conference?
