Raptors lose Overtime heartbreaker to Bulls in CRAZIEST GAME of the year

The Toronto Raptors went into Chicago to face the Bulls and played the craziest game in Raptors history. Scottie Barnes registered a triple double, O.G Anunoby left the game, and despite every ounce of heart and hustle from Chris Boucher and a complete meltdown at the line from DeMar DeRozan, the Raptors lose by 1, and once again, we are left to wonder…why?

  1. Glad to see they handing the key to Scottie and 4th qtr b played well. It’s tough lost but they will get better.

  2. 1. Masai and Bobby need to admit Nurse was wrong about many things but not the fact the Flynn is not and never will be a rotation players… I feel like Darko is being forced by the FO to play him. He’s the new Aron Baynes. Everyone knows he needs to go but Bobby and Masai. You guys were wrong to draft him. Get over it. It’s time to move on.

    2. The roster construction and offence isn’t working and changes need to be made.

    3. The Raptors should trade for Brogdon as he’s available and would add shooting and guard depth they need. I’m willing to trade Young, Porter Jr, Flynn and a 2026 1st for two years of Brogdon.

    4. This team is sorely missing Koloko. Yes Achiuwa does a lot of things right but he’s got a low basketball IQ and that isn’t changing.

    5. Gradey’s shot will start to fall I’m okay with how Darko is playing him and I want him to keep shooting until they start to fall which they will.

Imagine how good this team would be with Koloko healthy and adding Brogdon. This team has a ton of potential but not as currently constructed.

A lot of these mistakes will work itself out with more reps except Siakim’s poor FT in clutch. Dude needs to practice that.

Last thing you Barnes doubters and haters need to be traded or waived good bye like Flynn. Yes he made a critical turnover and the foul at the end that was costly but he’s hardly to blame for the lose. Scottie is HIM. Kawhi 2.0 Loading…

  3. Clutch moments were bad, Pascal in the last 2 possessions in OT. And Scottie with 20 seconds left up 3 loses the ball. These 2 need to be better at end game.

  4. This team has a collective low bball IQ (with a couple exceptions) Boucher, Precious, Flynn really have no clue. Pascal is only a little better

  5. Scottie's presser gave me Larry Legend vibes. Even when he was still young Bird always held his team mates responsible to play to the level he expected of them, if they didn't he would deal with that in the changeroom and on the court. Larry also held himself responsible to the play to the level he expected from himself and if he didn't he would deal with that to the press and take personal responsibility for the loss even though he was the best player in the game.

Holding himself accountable to a higher standard then those around him is a very good sign for his future.

  6. It’s mind blowing ppl threatening you over Flynn. That’s the wildest shit I ever heard, like please touch grass if you see this

  7. Lol Siakam showed us the full package today… choked free-throws and turnover in clutch moments.

Is this our Supermax player? 😂😂

  8. There were at least a dozen miserable, unwatchable Raptors games in the 2022-23 season. This was as bad as the worst of them.

  9. Too many possesions when players look stagnant. And still doing iso, wheres the movement, and players cutting. Everybody just standing around thinking they shoot like Curry. Great start but Darko put in 2nd unit too early.

  10. The amount leeway this guys gives Scottie is laughable. Let’s be honest please . It’s Game 2 of the season and he’s already killing Pascal and Scottie , 7 TOs it’s all good. Only thing he got right was the performance of the coach. Fact is that everyone with the exception of OG deserves blame for this loss. Scottie for example has shown multiple times in these late inbound situations – he’s been disastrous at times. So follow your own advice about previous behaviour being the best indicator of future behaviour, but maybe it applies the others but not Mr. Barnes.

Btw, Pascal didn’t jump into Demar that was all Scottie. You thought you were slick with that one. 😉

  11. It may have been time for Nick Nurse to leave, but lets quit acting like he's not a great coach. Nurse was good at making in game decisions; he called good timeouts, and came up with good plays. Darko still needs to learn these things.

  12. For a coach and front office that like to talk about fairness, fresh starts and accountability it's funny how they hand a lesser player a spot on the roster over a player that has proven himself over and over. There was no battling it out for the roster spot. They handed Flynn the job, he didnt earn it. It doesn't make sense. Dowtin in Flynns place would have made a big difference in the outcome of the first 2 games. Do the right thing. Waive Flynn and bring back Dowtin or someone qualified.

  13. This game was so up and down. I can’t remember watching a game like this before! I had a feeling all the missed free throws would be costly. There were line ups that seemed really confusing. But also saw lots of positives to take away. Loved what I saw from Scottie! He plays so hard, and winning matters so much to him. I just believe and support him no matter what. I want to see Scottie get the ball in clutch situations.
Really great convos in this live!! Really enjoyed it!!
