Will be interesting to monitor as the games go on. KAT and Ant haven’t been all that great yet, so guess it makes sense the offense is lagging. It is a bit concerning seeing how little else is behind those two when they are not on. The Wolves seem like they could use some more shooting / offense for sure.

Having said that, I am loving the defensive side so far. This franchise has never had a stout defense, which is slightly bizarre considering how amazing KG was. It’s a nice change being able to shut teams down. And this is without Jaden so far. Would be really cool to keep this up and be a top defensive team at the end of the year.

This is at least partially related to their opponents.

Toronto and Miami both have (theoretically) good defenses and bad offenses.

With that being said, the defense looks quite good and the offense looks very clunky.

I’m sure this will even out eventually. I doubt we’ll be a top 5 defense all year. Top 10, we should be if both McDaniels and Gobert are playing as potential DPOY candidates all year, and yeah, maybe Top 5.

And we’re definitely not going to be a bottom 10 offense this season. A lot would have to go disastrously bad for that to happen all year.

  4. I rather have it this way than the opposite. The shots will eventually drop. Plus we get out or best wing defender back.

Just for the record (not that it makes much of a difference), per cleaning the glass which removes garbage time we’re 2nd in D and 28th in O

Nothing really to be drawn from after only two games. In the grand scheme I couldn’t care less if these rating continue so long as the net rating remains positive. Have the worst offense in the league for all I care if they can win that way.
