Would love to see Thybulle have a lockdown game against Maxey. Hold him to under 20 would be an absolute win and really go to show whether or not Matisse is worth starting at the 3 (I know, we don’t have any other options atm). Ayton vs Embiid will be interesting, but they’re going to score pretty easily against our zone defense especially in the paint without any other real presence or help other than ayton and RW3 who for some reason Chauncey refuses to play at the same time.
Obviously we all want to see Scoot have his breakout game, but this is a VERY tough matchup with some above average wing defenders in Oubre, PatBev, and Maxey. Not to mention Embiid being one of the best defenders at the C position.
Aside from Sharpe and Brogdon, no one on this (active) roster has shown the ability to find their own shot or consistently hit a 3, so probably another struggle to keep it close in the first quarter, then have a run in the third and fourth to make it look like a closer game than it probably will be.
We’ll get there eventually, but this is not the game to pin any hopes on for player development/team chemistry.
This should be a pretty easy win, right?

I got spoiled by MLS Season Pass all summer. If NBA League Pass didn’t have blackouts, I would just wait until 7 to start watching the game and enjoy the nice weather. 😭
