[Slater] Chris Paul will come off the bench tonight for the Warriors in Houston, per sources. It’ll be his first time as a reserve in his 19-year career. Started previous 1,365 games (regular season/playoffs). Draymond Green is starting in his return.

  1. Really stoked with him leading this second unit. Hoping he can unlock JK even more

Kerr’s so good at all aspects of coaching tbh, it took some serious work this summer to get to a point where they could do this without serious locker room issues (unless I’m wrong and this blindsided CP3 lol)

CP3 winning hearts and minds in The Bay

  4. Assuming the season goes well, and that GP2 opts in next year and the team takes up the team option for Kuminga and Moody, there is no reason why they can’t keep CP3 for the final year, right? Other than the tax out of the owner’s pocket. The MLE taxpayer exception wouldn’t matter if they have everyone else + vet mins?

If Klay takes a smaller pay packet, they would have enough to pay the rookies with their first contract, and be ok with the luxury tax (they can pay them anyway since they’d probably have the rights)?

Never thought I’d be rooting for cp3 to win his first ring

The buy in from CP3 and balls for Kerr to do it, will take us to the promise land!

The fact that Draymond and Steph have both come off the bench even when not on minutes restrictions probably makes it easier to swallow

I like that we are doing this but wonder if a few games later would’ve been better. When our best players are on a minutes restriction I think strategically backloading minutes makes a lot of sense, like when Steph was a 6th man until the restriction was lifted.

    But F it, it’s Houston.
