  1. Anthony, Ivey should absolutely be starting. He has greatly outplayed Hayes and he is only averaging 20mpg…. That is a huge problem. Coming off the bench DOES usually lead to less minutes and things like that. I get that you can have a star player come off the bench but Cade and Ivey are the future of this team. They need to be starting and Ivey adds that extra offensive initiator for us in the starting lineup. Monty Williams is wrong on this. Hayes has sucked aside from his solid defense and he should have all of his minutes given to Sasser and eventually Monte Morris with Ivey starting. Its so clear this is the best for our team.

  2. I don't think people are talking about the financial issues coming off the bench can create for players. Evan Fournier is a great example of this as he's still an elite 3pt shooter but because he's out the rotation teams only see him as cap filler and trade bait for picks. Isaac Okoro, a great defensive guard who is now struggling to find a role in the team that drafted him #4 overall. Does Ivey really want to become another player getting paid $11 mill while Jalen Duren and Cade get huge $30 million dollar + contracts?

Lack of minutes hurt players production, and thus hurt how much they are valued which then affects how much they get paid. It's not an issue now, but it will be if this continues. And I would be shocked if his ppg, ast, reb, and overall numbers all decline exponentially as the years continue like Malcom Brogdon.

  3. My prefer long term starting lineup and until Ivey figure it out is having Livers replacing Killian and have Livers switch with Ausar at the 3. The backcourt with Cade and Ausar will have playmaking and defense while Livers spreads opens the paint. The bench having Ivey as the main option with Morris, Harris, Bogdanovic and Bagley will be interesting. Killian is doing a good job with the chemistry, playmaking, and defense. I expect eventually Killian, Wiseman, Harris, even Bogdanovic and Burks getting traded at the trade deadline. All of them have expiring contracts
