Thompsons rebounding and blocking have totally blown me away. The offense will come around but he might ALREADY be the best on the ball defender. Lavine hit us up for 51 last night but in the 5th quarter Thompson shut him down in crunch time when it really counted after nobody else could. Once his 3 ball starts dropping… look out, his is going to be an AMAZING pick up for us. He just need Ivey to take that next step that we are seeing Cunningham and Duren take right in front of our eyes and Cade, at 22, is the oldest of our core! These guys are just going to enter their prime in another 3 years! That includes Beef Stew at just 22. That is crazy to think about. I hope we can keep those 5 together, the 5th being Stewart as our super man off the bench. The missing piece is a Bojan but 10 years younger that fits our time line and that plays better D. If we could score a starter that is a stretch 4 that can lock up big fellas look out.
Shout out Alec Burks for smoking those big 3s that Bojan normally shoots for us.
Just think about this… when this team gets better and cut their team turnovers in half on average that alone will improve the defense because it will cut down points off turnovers which in case will improve offense as well..
