When asked about not playing down to the competition vs. Washington, Jayson Tatum recalls last year’s game in DC when Boston got caught off guard/got smoked: “This is the NBA. On any given night, guys can get hot. So don’t leave it up to chance. Come out and play the right way.”

The ish smith game. Mans was cooking.
Next game is the bigger test, Indiana can easily torch you if you fall asleep.
Honestly, Marcus Smart had a lot to do with us “playing down to the competition.” When we’d get big leads, he’d start showboating and circus passes which would set the tone for the rest of the team since he’s the “heart and soul.” Rest of our players would start doing that shit too and then they’d end up having to play more minutes than they needed to resulting in being gassed in playoffs lol. We should just go and handle business, don’t fuck around or anything
