[@andlankell] Playmaking from the forward spots has been a problem for ATL in recent years. Really nice to see Jalen hit the cutter from the perimeter here. Seeing more characteristics of a Quin Snyder offense.

I watched this play like 5 times trying to figure out if it was a designed play for an Onyeka cut or if it was just a really good read by both players. I couldn’t come to a conclusion, but I watched it 5 more time just cause it made me happy.

I love JC, but with JJ’s skillet, trading him away was basically addition by subtraction. Instead of a ball stopping post up and PnR hungry PF, we’ve got a plus playmaker who can still finish at the rim, play defense, and hit shots. He’s a perfect fit for this team. Excited to see him continue to grow this year, would be awesome if he emerges as the 3rd guy behind Trae and DJ and become the point forward we desperately have needed.

I used to get hype when JC would throw a simple lob to Capela in the paint.

Jalen can be a connector at the PF spot. He has SF qualities such as 1v1 defense and runs in transition. But his playmaking is probably his best trait. He’s not a ball stopper, if he can’t find an opening to score, he won’t hold the ball. He’s gonna thrive in a motion offense
