This is suuuuuper interesting. I don’t think a National team has ever had an NBA team as its sponsor before?? Obviously it can’t happen for the men’s side due to multiple reasons, but very curious what MLSE hopes to actually get out of this, I’m not sure I really understand the marketing rationale behind this from their perspective – especially when they’re at the same time not willing to bring the WNBA to Canada.
