* We were way overdue for a loss, honestly, we got away with sleepwalking a couple times already, Wolves came out swinging. It was ogre about 6 minutes in, even though we closed the gap a bit at times
* I don’t blame the lads for being low-energy, I wouldn’t feel like living either if I had to spend any amount of time in the hell on Earth that is Minneapolis and the state of Minnesota in general.
* Jok is mega coasting for the most part of this season, I think some of it is conditioning, but it also feels like he’s just going through the motions until the game is on the line. Sadly, the game wasn’t on the line
* Zeke is still pretty rough on offense, bro missed a 3 by like 4 feet, and a dunk. Locked cat the fuck up tho, I loved him on defense. Genuinely encouraged, as I felt like this is a gaping hole in our roster coming into the season. As long as he stays healthy, so far he’s shown he can contribute in the yoffs
* Cat is the funniest mf alive. Sorry ass mf
* Mal couldn’t make a shot in the first half to save his life. It’s not even that he was taking insanely tough ones, or that he was guarded supremely well, just bounced the wrong way. I think there may be something to him trying to play both ends of the floor, I feel like he’s notably better on defense so far this season, and/or that he’s trying to playmake more than usually. I like McDaniels, but I didn’t feel like Mal was affected at all, although I’m sure some mutts fans are gonna make a case for it because of the horrendous splits. Tbf tho, Klask said at half time that Mal was bothered by length, so what do I know. But then again bro is like a 90% FT shooter, and he bricked those too
* Shoutout Taliban Tim for paying his 2nd and 3rd best center like 90 million dollars (US)
* Mike got kind of swallowed up, and AG wasn’t feasting against their pretty huge frontcourt. But then again, if Mal and Jok are not fucking around, the defense would be more spread out, and the hot dudes would have better looks
* Refs were weird as fuck. Some calls definitely went our way, but they just called weird shit both ways. We didn’t lose the game because of them, but 19 points discrepancy on FTs killed us
* Nuggs missed a lot of pretty great looks for 3. I think all Jok’s bricks were way short
* KCP is such a menace, I love how hard he always plays. You can see teams go for much safer and slower passes as the game goes on because of how good he is in the passing lanes
* Jokic should learn to scream whenever someone touches him, apparently it works wonders
* Bench keeps looking pretty ok. Reid and SloMo are really good on offense, and got the best of them for the most part, but I thought the defensive process was great. I think I like regi not touching the ball that much on offense. The bench seems to be struggling mightily to score without Mal out there. I like how Strawther is playing, but I hope he won’t be another Markus Howard – a 3pt specialist that may or may not have ever made a 3pt attempt for the Nuggets
* I’m probably significantly higher on Gobert than most around here, but that may have actually been THE worst trade in NBA history, holy shit
* Could’ve probably just said we went 5/28 for 3 before garbage time lol
