When was the last time the NBA saw a rookie this clutch? I can’t find info on LeBron here – that was 10 years before the start of advanced tracking – but I refuse to believe any other player was this clutch at 19 years old.

Would love the defensive metrics too especially when he was guarding the 5 or in that 3 2 zone. Sample size is still too small for the offense to feel sustainable at this level in the 4th but it’s great to see him keep it cool in the clutch, bodes well for the future

This is wild. I expected him to do do some crazy shit, have bursts of Nintendo like numbers in throughout the game, make highlight reels and such. I didn’t expect him to come up big when the lights were brightest (yet). Outside of those times when he goes off, he’s been pretty awful looking(EDIT: alot of turnovers, tentative, poor shot selection. Awful is probably too strong a word, but there are times he looks like what people worried he might be to start – extremely raw and needing work). The exact opposite of that one expects from a rookie.

Even just four games is too small a sample size and the two wins were nail biters. Its awesome to execute and play hard when it counts most, but we could easily be 0-4 right now.

Its….strange. And very encouraging, to be honest. Too early to tell too much, but I feel like managing the game and being more consistent is relatively easier to correct rather than crunch time execution.

Wemby is special beyond his exceptional physical gifts. Pairing his talent with his BBIQ and a little bit of dawg, and holy shit…its developing right and front of us. There are going to be bumps along the way (like that Clipper abomination I think we can call a lesson and move on) but I’m excited.
