Both are ass. Remove one “New York” from each and we’re good.

It’s one of those ideas that sounds good, but then when you actually put it together, you realize it wasn’t.

It’s like I’m supposed to put 3d glasses on for it to look cool.

I swear these city jerseys are deliberately trying to piss off most fans

City connect jerseys always disappoint me cause they always feel like they’re trying to sell the city as a product to someone who doesn’t live there. Like New Yorkers don’t say New York more than once, we don’t have to.
I know they’re marketed towards collectors who don’t live in the cities and I’m a boomer for wanting more but I have so many ideas that I would love to see (a BMT inspired subway mural one would be heat) and I’m sure if they contracted local designers they could get something good. But we’re stuck with tourism jerseys that only last a season 😔

Left is better. Not a fan of the black colorways from the 90s and OP literally chose the worst incarnation of it (there were several tweaks through the years until the fans were graciously returned to our classic colors and no godawful v-neck). The black can work as an alt jersey but this example on the right is gaudy and too much

It’s not the worst. But it’s mind boggling that this team can never seem to knock it out of the park with alternate jersey designs when New York City is home to so many creative artists and designers.
