He and Grant have completely changed this teams identity. I knew he would be a damn good defender and rim runner, but I had NO IDEA he would be this good of a passer.

Gotta work on catching the pass in motion. Chicago was ready for the lob and shut that shit down. He can’t begin a post play if he can’t catch the ball. This and fouls. Once these are ironed out, ROTY contender for sure.

That play starting at :50 is my favorite. Lively had a decent chance at scoring but he made the smart play to pass to DJJ for an unguarded layup. When someone can make that play as a rookie center, that’s a good good GOOD sign

Loved how things have turned out. Remember that he was seen as a reach as a lottery pick by most mock drafts. Have to give kudos to the Mavs that they drafted him at 12. Man, if I were Taylor Hendricks or Jarace Walker, I would be so envious of Lively. He landed on a team that was desperate for a big man and gave him all the time and tools needed to develop. The two big guys that we were all drooling over during the draft are stuck on the bench as they were taken by teams that really did not need them.
