I mean, he’s right. You give Harden the ball and he is a capable scorer, but he’s incredible at getting other players good looks. The points per possession that he generates when people set him a screen are fantastic, and that ranges from centers to forwards giving him a screen.

I’m sure some people will take this the wrong way and be concerned that he’s gonna be selfish, but he’s not. He knows his value is in bringing in his gravity, passing, and scoring. Up until Russ came, we struggled because we had no system. Russ has helped that a *ton,* but we still struggle like we saw last night. Harden will 100% help get our team better looks and not go through dry spells.

honestly what ever at this point. Someone needs to grab the game by the balls and lead the offense if he wants to do that by all means go ahead. Pg and Kawhi (just like with russ) ok’d this and obviously spoke to harden in the offseason so im sure everyone is on the same page

Good thing WB is also a system. 2 systems > 1

Whatever system Ty and the gang figure out that wins us a chip is all I care about. Let’s fucking go.

Please no forever ISO. We’ve been playing in unison pretty nicely.

I think harden will work out just like WB did. This team only works if everyone buys in. So far that’s been the case. We will know if harden hasn’t bought in here soon enough but I don’t think that’s the case if the players ok’d him coming to LA. I think we got something special this year.

Just watched the video and this quote can easily be misinterpreted.

  8. The system creates an alliance with the machine. An unstoppable force.

    more context:

    >I think all that plays into where I am today where whatever T-Lue and the coaching staff needs me to do. I’ve been prepared and been in both situations, whether me scoring 15, 16 points or scoring 30, as long as we win the game and everybody’s feeling confident and good about themselves, that’s all that really matters.
    >
    >When I’m in a leash, I’m not just shooting the basketball every time. I meant like I think the game and I’m a creator on the court, you know what I mean? So if I got a voice to where I can, ‘hey, coach, I see this. What you think about this?’ Then it’s like, okay. Somebody that trusts me, that believes in me, that understands me, that I’m just not, I’m not a system player. I am a system. You know what I mean? So somebody that can have that dialogue with me and understand and move forward and figure out and make adjustments on the fly throughout the course of games, that’s all I really care about. It’s not about me scoring a basketball, scoring 34 points. I’ve done that already. So that’s what I meant by that.

    I’m not a businessman. I’m a business, man.

Can’t be mad at it, last season there were possible game winning possessions where it looked like neither kawhi nor PG knew what to do with the ball or just didn’t want it

He’s absolutely systematic in the way he can’t get out the playoffs soon enough to enjoy vacation.

The people saying this will never work keep thinking these four players are 27 years old. They aren’t dumb. They know their limitations and know they need each other. PG said as much in his last podcast.

  14. floppelganger

If that system means I have to watch PG/Westbrook turn the ball over less in the 4th, then I’m all for it

Damn that was actually a hard ass comeback lol
