  1. I think it is absolutely terrible — focus on the 82-game regular season & get rid of the gimmicks. Players should quit whining about having to play 82 games 'cuz it has been done for decades now. If you don't like it go play overseas — I heard Russia is nice this time of year…or, dare I say it, play in New Jersey!

Will this mean teams that lose in the early rounds will play only 80 games, & the teams that play in the final match play 84 games instead, or will all teams play 82 games regardless of what happens in the tournament?

Commissioner Adam Silver is an embarrassment to the world of professional American sports. His turning the NBA into a woke joke (!) is shameful enough, but then he adds FOUR more teams into the NBA playoffs by creating the worthless play-in tournament & now THIS?!?

    Shame on you, Adam Silver.

  2. status quo is the best, this just confusing people and obviously just wanted regular season, playoffs and finals format

  3. I feel like the champion should get more than just the money. They should give out incentives for an advantage in the playoffs or in the draft.

  4. I just love tournaments. On nba 2K or FIFA NHL video games I basically only play tournaments whether it’s the comp or a 12 year old kid who beats me 😂

  5. This is the lamest shit ever. I’m not keeping up with this. Just win every fucking game that’s it ‼️‼️‼️

  6. I think it is nice to avoid tanking and lessen load management. but in order to do so, prize has to have something to do with the draft and some kind of incentives when trading a player or whatsoever. Money is not a big deal on this. Players are already getting paid more than enough.

  7. I personally like this addition. As you said the beginning of the season it's kind of slow and a bit boring and this will spice it up a little! can't wait!

  8. I'm concerned that the teams that do well in the in-season tournament will have a little harder schedule overall, since they have to play other teams that are doing well in the tournament while teams that got knocked out go on to play other losing teams. And since this is reflected in the normal 82 games, this could impact standings.

  9. NBA should've awarded the winner home court advantage throughout the playoffs if they make it – no matter who they face, including the finals. That gives great teams like Denver, Milwaukee, Boston etc. incentive to just lock in early so they don't have to worry about getting the best record, but also gives lower tier teams hope that if they get in, they can really make noise. It's not as drastic as just granting a playoff spot (which i DO NOT like for many reasons), but impactful enough to aid in championship hopes.
