I get that he’s from there and I’m not saying this will happen to him and this isnt even really about Trey specifically, but like what happens if his play falls off and he never makes another all star team or is never an important player on a playoff team ever again? What happens if he has some off the court shit like Kevin Porter or Ja Morant or whatever. This is the problem with honoring players while their still active. These types of honors should be post mortem or at least in old age. Seems like an unnecessary risk by the city. Imagine having to quietly change the name of the street back after some ugly incident.
