Justin Verrier, Wosny Lambre, and Rob Mahoney discuss the 76ers’ side of the James Harden trade, including why the Sixers need to stay competitive now, whether Tyrese Maxey is the guy to lead them to the next level, and why this puts a lot more pressure on Joel Embiid.

8:02 the truth
It's pretty clear none of these clowns ever watched a Sixers game. Embiid absolutely needs to play better in the playoffs, a lot of that has to do with injuries unfortunately. The other big issue was coaching. Nick Nurse is clearly a much better coach than Doc and should be able to put Embiid in the best position to succeed. It seems he's actually working on managing his minutes fairly well. The last issue, the Sixers haven't had a high quality wing player since Jimmy Butler and that's an essential piece in today's NBA. Kelly Oubre is a big improvement over what they've had, but they still need to make a move for a 2 or 3 that can at least frustrate guys like Tatum and Brown defensively while scoring around 15 ppg with a few 3s.
I think it's hard to see when a player will elevate a team. More than individual talent, you have to find someone who's skill set is multiplied by the pieces around him. I think about Aaron Gordon going to the Nuggets. Arron is a good player but on the nuggets he is often a great player. The way the team plays creates many of the situations he is great at while minimizing the situations he struggles.
There are teams you could put Aaron Gordon on where he would look very average. So I think it's difficult to know whats going to elevate a team without really thinking through the situations.
Nick batum and some picks to get a star? Lol this dude is a complete fool. U won’t get nothing from that. And let’s say u get Levine that still won’t do anything against Boston.
Embiid is averaging 6 assists
A second round playoff exit that’s what next
I'm from Philly I hate these type of fans. That doesn't understand what this team needs
The point they left out is that yes they were a good team with Harden last year for sure but having Maxey as the lead guard allows them to play in a much different way, especially with Nurse over Doc, much more ball movement and less predictability, the right moves could genuinely put them on the same level if not above the Bucks and C’s
Dude in the middle is a clown
They will be just as good without Harden as they were with him. He was empty calories. They were 50 win team losing in the second round before Harden, and they will be a 50 win team and lose in the second round without Harden. They literally lost nothing by getting rid of Harden. And that tells you everything you need to know about him as a player.
Wow is crazy 🤣🤣🤣
This is crazy, the Sixers are not the same as we left them, they are shockingly better!!! The are deeper, better on the wings, and more athletic defensively. With this, lets just let Nurse cook with these ingredients for a while.
Ahh shit.. it's the C-team
Wos is that dude!
Blasphemy
I'm not even worried about the bucks. Embiid has already provn to me he can beat them and stop Giannis. The only team really stopping us is boston.
Smh the Sixers don’t need a star… they need to keep building a team.. This isn’t 2016
Wos is such a hater lol and he clearly hasn’t watched the Sixers this yr
KJ Martin is a very nice addition for a team that could use his skill set. A combo forward who adds some athleticism and defense
First and last time I'm watching this show, I'm not a sixers fan by any means but the dude in the red really doesn't get the question the facilitator said, the dude in middle was much more easier to listen to and watch, his takes made sense and answered the question…..sorry ringer
