Right now, 5 games in – small sample size and all – Wemby might just be the best defender in the league. Don't let his block numbers fool you: It's not actually the blocks or shot alterations that do happen, it's the shot attempts that the opposing offense refuses to take because of Victor's presence. The difference in the Spurs' defensive rating when he is on the court compared to off the court is simply unbelievable.
