I feared that we wouldn’t have much fight if we had to try and close out a game like this without Ben. Which I guess is ironic considering his reputation, but he really has been great in those situations. I want the game on friday so bad.
Royce singlehandedly lost us that game, and towards the end, we should’ve been running plays for Mikal as he was heating up.
Need to cut the cord on Royce when he doesn’t have it. When he’s off he’s off
B2B games were never kind to the Nets.
Considering the circumstances I’ll take the moral victory that this was a very winnable and competitive game

Oh god, it was 96:90 when Spencer tried to be a hero, first he tried to shoot a dumb off balance three, not his first tonight, then he gave the ball to Celtics by trying that dumb pass to Cam.
Also, Royce had one of the worst shooting nights ever, 2/13, If only he hits one or two more we would have much closer end of the game.
All in all, second night of back to back, we were in the game almost until the end vs. undefeated Celtics. Porzingis in the paint was too much for us.
i’m very fucking upset, but good performance boys against the best in the east. Impressive performance.
Picture Cam Johnson taking those Royce 3’s and Simmons handling the ball and guarding Tatum and Claxton’s Defense. I’m excited about this team. They are so fun to watch. I think we only get better as the year goes on.
If Mikal didn’t have the streak I’d suggest to give him a night off.
Surprisingly winnable game down 3 starters. If either Mikal or O’Neale play to their standards we probably win.

That really was an admirable performance. Celtics currently the most in-form team…..yet, we hung tough with them all night whilst remembering we are down 3 starters and on a back to back.
I feel like we spend too much time trying to set mikal up, but he can’t get separation so it eats the clock. He needs to play off cam b/c every time cam seems to drive there are two guys coming at him. Yes cam can take bad shots but he’s probably the best offensive player on the team.
I don’t understand JV, Brooks comes on a couple of games ago, and shoots almost lights out all night, and then when we need some point scoring, he doesn’t bring the kid back on in the next few games. It makes no sense from a coaching point of view, and a player point of view.
Honestly the team did way better then I expected. The guys were gassed and their shot was off. Really glad what they did
