The Lakers in the 35 minutes LeBron was on the floor tonight: +12. In the less than 13 minutes he didn’t play: outscored by 31.

That is just an insane differential in the Lakers 19 point loss to the Magic tonight. To be outscored by 31 in about 1 quarter’s worth of the game is almost unbelievable. It’s like the other team scoring a bucket every minute while you score 0 the whole time. D’Lo shooting 4/17 tonight definitely didn’t help. But what a collapse.

Old man LeBron shouldn’t have to carry this hard

Lakers are seriously fucked. They are not contending with this squad and they need to make some moves

  3. ImGonnaChubbBradley

I know Vando and Rui are out but this is fucking ridiculous.

As long as they start D’lo and Reaves together when they can’t defend their way out of a wet paper sack without AD covering up for them the Lakers are gonna have to play old man Lebron like 40 minutes a game if they want to compete for a homecourt spot.

They probably should have just traded for Mike Conley last season an actual facilitator and fellow vet for Bron and AD who won’t get rattled like D’lo does

relying on a 40 year old like that is sub optimal

  6. Paper_Okami

He’s going to be dust by the all star break.

Solution 1. Reaves and DLo can’t play in the lineup at the same time. Moving one of them to the 2nd unit will go a LONG way to helping the team score when LeBron rests. P.S. DLo is the one they should move.

  8. caughtin4k60

What are they going to do? Every team LeBron plays on runs the LeBron system. Teams are built from top to bottom to complement his play style. That’s why they fall apart when he’s not playing.

  9. HBSBrook

AD is a fake superstar. Put him in the same category as Westbrook

  10. Camctrail

I think Reaves should run with the 2nd unit, without LeBron on the court I trust his decision making over Dlo. Reaves should play in all the non LeBron minutes + the closing lineup

  11. Sweatytubesock

They need a Morris brother for the Lebron role while he rests.

Hey here’s a thought… maybe we actually give credit to the magic for a well-played game instead of saying the lakers just lost

  13. Fr0_oz3n

To be fair they really don’t play without him enough to know how to win without him on the floor.

  14. Beneficial-Bell-2517

So dlo only agreed to sign that contract, knowing he’d be traded mid season, if the lakers promised to play him 30+ min a game til then right?

It’s the only thing that makes sense… unless hamm is even worse of a coach than I thought

Let’s do a bright side post: Lebron hasnt lost a step, that was a big unknown coming into this season. AD has been good to great in every game except the nuggets. Those two things right there are already enough to be happy about as a laker fan. If we can somehow trade D’Lo for Caruso, Lavine, smart or something, I think we have enough to make a run.

A tale as old as time itself 😂

Bron, Bronny to San Antonio would be amazing

To all the folks that said “Keep DLo instead of DS”, F**K OFF!

  19. late2party

This LeBron guy sounds pretty good. Lakers have a bright future

  20. mochahotness

Lakers never should have let Caruso go

  21. jacobythefirst

It’s like watching the Nuggets from the last 4 years lol

  22. New_Essay_4869

Lakers would not be a comfortable playoff team if they stuck to the LeBron minutes restruction

  23. LATABOM

Bill Simmons’ great white hope seems to have a ceiling of “swaggier Luke Walton”.

  24. jgroove_LA

this team really misses Schroeder, Gabe Vincent isn’t the same
