  1. Tupinicopolis

WEMBY NEEDS TO TAKE 30+ SHOTS EVERY GAME.

  2. ifuckwithit

I know the expectations are low this year but this shouldn’t have been a loss lol

  3. adelphotes

    On track for 79-3

Totally winnable gotta get them boards

    Go Spurs Go!

  4. darthrio

One step closer to that Raptors pick…

  5. ktdotnova

The Raptors, although without a true star, have a solid and formidable starting lineup. This was another great test for the young Spurs in the early season. They were playing without their best player in Devin Vassell.

Victor W. was dominant on both ends in the first half (12 points and 3 blocks). However, it was a total team effort for the Spurs. On offense, they craved up the Raptors’ D with drive-and-kicks and pick-and-rolls. On defense, they had active hands, leading to steals and easy points in transition.

After looking like it was going to be a blow out, the Raptors made a game out of it in the 4th quarter. Timely 3-point makes, down the stretch by OG, prevented the Spurs from ever truly blowing the game open.

This was a tough loss for the Spurs because even though the Raptors tied it up, the Spurs had every break go their way and were up by 5 points in the final minute before the game went into OT.

The Spurs own the Raptors’ 1st round pick this year if it lands outside the top 6. Unless the Raptors become sellers at the trade deadline, the Spurs have a high chance of adding another 1st round pick this year.

Why we didn’t run the offense through wemby every play at the end blows my mind. This team needs consistency. We’ll learn

  7. Equivalent_Bet1519

Honestly aside from the outside shooting Zach Collins wasn’t bad. And he was only taking open shots not forcing anything

We need to run plays for Wemby in crunchtime

  8. sys13730

Our final set possession of regulation was a Zach Collins P&R. Our last play was designed for Keldon with Collins flashing as the backup.

I’m sitting here screaming at my TV lmao.

  9. No_Tomatillo_8029

Another step closer to our future PG 😌

  10. spurs777_

Games like this is why I still have fear in my heart despite being up 20+ points

But it’s a young team so that we can you expect. Once they mature they’ll learn how to maintain composure.

  11. kunjacob

Shout out to their commentary duo.

Their color guy was fighting for his life trying to say Wemby’s name the first time and just started calling him Wemby the rest of the game lolololol

  12. Pls_Drink_Water

now I understand non-Spurs’ fans frustrations of Wemby not getting the ball enough, especially this fourth quarter. smh

  13. AdInside5876

Stings. No Devin. growing pains. On to the next.

Collins shouldn’t be the focal point in the clutch, tho. Absurd. McDermott not playing at all in the 3rd n 4th is nuts

  14. BallPlastic3792

This is Zach Collins’ team. Face it. Embrace it.

  15. stalkmeo1

HAHAHAHAHA LOSING AFTER A 20+ pt lead 🤡🤣

  16. Well, that was an inept performance. Maybe somebody should inform these bus riders there’s a reason they aren’t the driver.

  17. GrayestSundew

It’s been really hard to watch sochan lately

  18. LucRichard55

Yep this is definitely a young team. Gave ourselves a chance to win but couldn’t finish or rebound for that matter. I’m not tripping just disappointed.

  19. Dylancoolasbeans

We 100% deserved to lose this game. What a choke.

  20. onoeoneone

Come back from 20 down, give up a 20 point lead, give up a 20 point lead, so next game come back from 20 down?

  21. CollectionMost9526

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, a classic

  22. Crackermo

God damn that 1 missed rebound at the end hurts.

  23. supexior

We win with Devin out there. On to the next one

  24. Vect0rSigma

Vassel is much needed to take some pressure off Wemby.
    Disgraceful loss nonetheless…

  25. Supermind64

You have Brahnam with a beautiful 8-9 and then Zack Collins 8-17 with a 1-6 shooting from 3.🤦🏻‍♂️

  26. IowaStateCycho

I think everyone in the game day thread and elsewhere needs to remember this is still a lottery team

  27. Tyranitator

I know people want Wemby to take every shot in the 4th but other players need development too. We need to see which other young guys can handle the pressure. The L’s are okay for this stage of the rebuild

  28. rattatatouille

Some say the Raptors are still shooting corner 3s to this day

  29. whawhales

You just know that Brian Wright called Pop at half-time and said Raptors pick is Top 6 protected.

  30. toofdoc17

Giving up 75 points in the second half after giving up only 35 in the first half is not gonna win you games

  31. DJMbengaGoat

Disgusting stuff from spurs guards playing thug ball with no brain no passing idiots..fuck Sochan

  32. McWhorter44

the fact yall cant comprehend that the Raptors, that have great defensive players made it their whole gameplan to deny Wemby touches is actually worrying.

No, rest of the team didnt ice him out because they thought its funny to not give the ball to Wemby.

  33. good game kinda goofed towards the end. oh well on to the next

  34. deadknxght

Collins 17+ FG attempts is wild and the Spurs needs ASAP learn to manage the fucking lead. Second game in a row we are winning by 20+ points and then blow out

  35. vishjay101

On the bright side, if the Raptors win and miss the playoffs or have a good enough record to be out of the basement and are not a bottom-8 team (very likely), the Spurs get their pick. The Spurs can use this pick to maximize the future around Victor Wembanyama, so this is ok.

  36. Uncle_Freddy

Seriously, after last game I can’t believe the team didn’t try harder to find Wemby in more spots. He should never be going several minutes in a row without even touching the ball on the offensive end

  37. BrightenedCorner

Incredibly pathetic performance, pop needs to get his shit together. Just horrible way to lose

  38. Pls_Drink_Water

Branham barely getting minutes in the 2nd hand after playing so good…

  39. KhornKT

Wemby, too often, received the ball way too far to the basket.

Get him the ball near the paint and he’ll be super effective there

  40. Kid_Venison

So this isn’t Zach Collins team? /s 🤦🏻‍♂️

  41. Yassoox9

Playing Collins isos on Jakob in money time, not even on mismatches, that’s what you call peak basketball

  42. BakerCakeMaker

Our inexperience showing in the 4th, plus no Devin. This loss is nothing to be concerned about. Give OG credit, it’s no secret that those tank shaped guys work well at boxing out skinny Wemby. Plus Scotty decided to turn into Curry late. We don’t want Toronto with a top 5 pick anyways, this is the best team to lose against.

  43. birdlawspecialist1

Raptors are, and will always be, pretenders. Barely beating us in OT isn’t encouraging for them. But they have vets and a ROY which we don’t (yet) and they showed up. They needed a win badly. We played well considering no Vassell. Wemby is the absolute truth. The future is BRIGHT.

    On to the next one.

  44. paxusromanus811

I know it’s fun to watch Victor do crazy perimeter stuff and I know pop wants to experiment with him. But I absolutely cannot wait for the day where they just bite the bullet and give him a steady diet of post jumpers like those last two ones he hit in the game. He’s literally unguardible in that and there’s no reason he shouldn’t be taking at least 10 of those shots a game

  45. Zeee-Jay

Get used to the big point swings. This team will rally for as many 20 point comebacks as it does blow 20 point leads. It’s the nature of youth
