We can either be bad for a long time or be stuck in the mediocrity of Basketball Hell for a long time. But in Basketball Hell, Jerry can sell more tickets.
People underplay how bad this all is.
Management needs to make a move now! Get a real bonafide point guard!
Only problem is this upcoming draft class SUX! Even when they are trying to “tank” they don’t know when or how to! They should have done this last year!
I stand by my theory that they are riding the 90s bulls and MJ era wave and don't care how mediocre the team is becoming
The first thing that had got to happen is they need to fire Donovan. The team has no identity and they always look lost on both offense and defense. That is the coach's responsibility.
As a non bulls fan, I have two questions:
1: What do you see your veterans getting by the trade deadline?
2: What do you think the Dame/Harden/Holiday trades say about the market for a star level player this season?
This Bulls team with Billy at the helm is headed to the 2024 NBA Draft Lottery, with at least a 12.5% chance of getting the top pick. Quite possibly the same in 2025 too. It's a bit premature in the season to dismantle the roster, but the coaching staff should get their apps ready. I would say if stuff isn't better by the end of January, trade DeMar, Vooch and Zach for pieces to put around Coby and P.Dub plus draft picks of course.
The biggest shit show circus I’ve ever seen this season whoever let ak be our gm needs too fired and then fire that bum ak
The management is well aware of the issues. Unfortunately, they feel like their hands are tied with this group and the coaching staff. Dilemma is to make minor tweaks or to go for wholesale changes. They are getting close to a point where they have to trade one of the Big Three at the trade deadline. If it's my decision, I will trade Zach Lavine and get some draft capital. He is not justifying his contract and showing very low BB IQ on the court. He is not making other players and the Team better around him. Time to go and perhaps be successful somewhere else. Other option is to fire this coaching staff and bring someone else who can get the max out of these players. Something has to give!
I'm trying to stay positive but man is it hard. And honestly, I feel like they might just be waiting for Lonzo to come back and magically fix everything and get them back to the top of the Eastern Conference, which, and I hate to say it, will not be the case. I don't think Lonzo is going to be that elite PG again. Not saying that he won't have an impact, but it's not gonna be as big as it was in the early 21-22 season.
So at this point, I want them to trigger a rebuild. Rather than holding on to any hope for this team, just blow it up, diminish my hopes and let me enjoy other teams. I really like all these guys, but it's not working, neither the players, nor the coaching staff. And at this point it just feels like they are too bad to compete for a title, but too good to rebuild (on paper at least), so they're just gonna be stuck in mediocrity until they eventually trigger a rebuild.
This team isn't built around the mid 3. If they miss the playoffs again there will be a whole firesale next offseason.
The FO is gonna realize that changes need to be made when the attitudes of players on and off the court start affecting the team and the outcomes of games
As much as it's frustrating watching this team and I get people want to blow it up but .1 ownership and front office haven't used all they're tools they have at there disposal to make this product better eg DPE, MLE, BAE., going into the Luxury tax. 2. Can AKME draft the right players and construct a title contender? I'm not sure going on past history. 3. Is Billy the right coach? I think we all know the answer to this, and with an extension and how many years we don't quite know. He ain't going to want to coach a young in experienced rebuilding team. 4. Who have the Bulls been able to develop and keep at the club? 5. They were 1 year to late as this draft ain't going to be as talented! Finally 6. Does everyone remember what it was like to watch a 20 win team??? I think it's all just going to be a process maybe AK does a retool or trades one of the big 3 and a roll player but can't see them starting from scratch again and I get why they wouldn't want to. Anyway bring on Laurie and the Jazz. Got to keep on plugging away I guess until otherwise.
💯💯💯
Change would have been here if Lonzo Ball was healthy and playing with the team on a nightly basis
I've seen all I need to see. Im a 40 yr bulls fan. I'm saying trade everyone.
i think when the bulls we’re rebuilding we were doing the right things we were just picking the wrong guys the nba draft is such a crap shoot
Trade PWill and Zach ASAP
AK blew up the young talent on this team. This team was loaded with young talent and draft picks. We have none of that now!
