  1. GUI! Kinda surprised they didn’t just push it off for another year so they can sign him to a two-way but I’m excited for him

    E: Also helps that he brings some more of the young energy that Draymond talked about after the OKC game

    For all the speculation about all the other guys competing for the open spots, I forgot all about Gui. Solid signing if he continues to improve at this level

  3. shoedog10

    Did not expect this LOL but I’m hype to see him come on over

  4. Wontonsoupz

    He looked decent in summer league and shot 3 ball pretty well. Got good size and ok foot speed. Good upside, low risk. Rudy gay must be absolutely cooked. TJD looking like a rotation player means they don’t need to sign a big. We still have another spot for a wing If needed

    Lets goooooo! Not a C but still a good pickup!! We got our gui!!

  6. RecognitionSouth

    Sorry for my ignorance. Buttt is he going to be number 14?

    this is a pleasant surprise. curious how much of that 3 year deal is guaranteed because it would tell us a little bit on what the warriors see in him

  8. stayfrosty

    3 year deal? Man…hope he is not the next Smailagic.

  9. ReluctantMinimalis

    Quite the surprise. Tbh I almost forgot about him. It think he will fit in and improve depending on how much plating time he gets. But to me TDJ had to be in the rotation. Dude is ready.

    Sweet! Can anybody provide clarity on how this affects/will affect his G league tenure?

  11. YES!!! So glad they were able to workout a buyout with his Brazilian club. Gui has so so much potential. His growth in the g league last year was significant. His play during his first summer league and this past summer was night and day. He’s also bulked up in addition to being 6’8” so is a pretty big body out there.

    Edit to fix the height I had listed, he’s 6’8” now not 6’7”. He also has a 7 ft wingspan so that’s a big plus!

    Edit 2: Adding him to the roster will also, ideally, do wonders for keeping JK locked in. We need JK serious and focused from tipoff every game, not starting at the beginning of the 4th after he gets benched and sees TJD get some of his minutes. Gui being an even closer substitute archetype wise for JK’s spot should hopefully keep that ‘another guy is nipping at my heels for my playing time’ feeling consistent for him.

    Ayy, good for Gui. Wonder if he’ll get any actual run, always nice to add some extra 3/4 depth.

    Assumed they’d be eyeing a vet, but they still got a spot open for later in the season.

    Hope he kills it. Never hurts to add some positional size and floor spacing

    He must be lighting it up in practices for the FO to commit a full roster spot to him.

    I think the team saw that Podz and TJD are actually playable so they’re not as worried about signing another young guy. Gui plays with a lot of energy, can shoot from 3 (although this still needs improvement) and provides some nice size. Based on summer league, I do remember that he needs to work on his turnovers but I guess that means he also fits right in with the team. haha

  15. Gui has been looking better every year, think he would get even better playing with the main guys too

  16. Wiggins floundering and Kuminga not clearly seizing the role from him probably convinced Dun to throw a wild card in there.

    bro 3 guards on our bottom 5 spots?

    * Steph
    * Klay (they sometimes play him as a 3 now)
    * Cp3
    * GP2
    * Moody (they sometimes play him as a 3 now)
    * Cory
    * Podz
    * Gui

    8 guards and 6 actual forwards / centers.

    Why do they insist on being so guard heavy?

  18. EquipmentNo9500

    He should be a pest to play against and has good mobility and athleticism. He might be closer to 6’8 than 6’7 but not sure.

    I was thinking we’d bring in Javonte Green. Interesting.

    Que sopresa!!!

    Ah yeah feeling it watching Fast X and Vin just arrive in Reo as I’m reading this

    “An R24 could not handle this …” classic line

    “ my boy back home would approve”

  20. Huge for Gui. He must be having an awesome GLeague camp.

  21. Edavisfourtwenty

    I remember liking him the few times I saw him play internationally
