From Axios: Nuggets’ games are only the 16th most expensive in the league, which is a good thing… I guess?

It seems like it’s proportional to the cost of living & salary? There are a couple outliers above the NBA avg of course.

Parking for knicks games is probably half of the cost lol

Honestly seems perfectly reasonable for 4 people with food and drink and parking.

Biggest surprise is the T-wolves at 10

  5. griffskry

Good, but that’s still too expensive imo

The only ones above us that are kinda shocking are the Timberwolves and Grizzlies. Everyone else is either in a much bigger market, have been good for awhile, or are just a huge attraction in their location. Ultimately for not being a basketball city (we just aren’t), being as big of a ticket as we are is still fun to see.

Is this why we never got bobble head nights?

No that’s for Julius Randle’s comedy special

90% of the cost of a Nuggets game would be the beers, sodas and hot dogs tbh.

It’s absolutely a good thing. The Broncos won the Super Bowl and all the real fans couldn’t actually afford to go to games anymore. That’s why their bleachers were half empty at halftime even when they were up. If you want to keep your fans you don’t fuck them over and jack up the seat prices and price out the kids and families that might want to attend.

We are damn lucky the Nuggets even allow us to pay to watch them.

I went to a playoff games in the early 2000s, against the Lakers, sat on floor seats behind the backboard and it was like $80 for 2 seats.

No need to add in “I guess”, it’s definitely good haha

Why would it be a bad thing? Nuggets had the best home court advantage before they won the championship, it’s not gonna be worse now lol

  15. This is such a wierd metric, it seems to presupose that every attende is a suburban family of four

Including parking, isn’t gona do much for some places, but no shit people cant park in Manhattan, eveone takes the train

Also with nuggets tickets specifically the ticket price is pretty hevaly determined by the matchup, jazz and kings tickets are like 20 bucks a head, lakers and warriors tickets are closer to 60-70 a head

I would say with a bit of planning a family of four could probably keep costs under 150

    80-100 for tickets
    60-80 for food

    Commute by rtd 5 bucks

You guess? You want more expensive tickets?

It’s really funny that the Knicks have 0 incentive to ever be actually good
