Can we talk about Pwat defensively. Held his own against a guy that has at least 100 lbs on him. He’s a stud defensively and once he develops his offensive sheeesh

  2. Bradleys_Chubb

u/BoneyardBill happy for you bro, got to see King Julian pop off in person

  3. tarspaceheel

So those seasons Mal was injured sucked, but they definitely prepared us for times like this.

  4. UnderratedNightmare

I’m doubling down. Zion is just stronger Randle

  5. about90frogs

By chance did anyone clip Braun drinking water but holding the bottle like he was a toddler?

  6. finn_odalih

Streets are saying we’ve got the best record in the league. Please confirm.

  7. ImGonnaChubbBradley

Somebody get a clip of Jokic ripping off his arm wrap and back brace to get in the game please

I think Collin Gillespie is the single most valuable two way player in the NBA, and was one of the biggest re-signings of this year. To have a guy who despite being hurt last year knows our offense as well as he does is just so impressive and really shows why they brought him back.

People were worried about point guard depth, and we have a guy who only a few games into the season can come in at basically zero cost to this team. His size and his speed limits him in this league, but because he can play Denver Nuggets basketball so well he has a positive effect on the entire unit. I hope he gets even better, but he showed his genuine value already tonight by just creating that “Nuggets” style of play without Jokic or Murray on the court, and that should be seen as a huge steal for the defending champs to have someone capable of that on a two-way contract.

Once our offense loosened up (expected it to be rough without Jamal early) the whole bench looked legitimate once again.

To continue to have such great effort from new guys with Strawther especially tonight being as aggressive and just so quick to get a good shot off after a pass as he was in that second half. And then the floater too, something our benches used to lean on a lot to stay productive despite the defense. A guy like him would have made a big difference in the last few years I think. Booth did a great job to fill out the entire roster this offseason and give us guys who can contribute at the scale we needed from the bench, and it is all guys we could afford while not taking any resources away from Jokic’s minutes.

Also MPJ had some really amazing looking rebounds tonight especially that one against 3 Pelicans, easy to say a guy his size should be a good rebounder but he is truly great with that timing of his jump that allows him to out rebound guys without just relying on physicality to push guys out of the way (great to protect his durability over a long season).

How in the world did we not just glue a guy to Zions left hand. He has zero bag. He rolls to his left every. single. time.

  10. UnderratedNightmare

Think its safe to say Murray won’t be back until Christmas, maybe even after new year?

  11. 2gutter67

What a crazy 2nd half! Awesome job by the whole team to stay with it tonight even with piss poor shooting in the first half. It’s so conflicting watching all these young guys on the bench playing well because we have such a strong starting unit it’s like, “How can I watch all these cats play!?!?” Love this team, their game, and their culture.

  12. LessThanCleverName

Remember in the way back days when it was fire Malone because he wouldn’t play the young guys over washed vets?

    We’ve come so far 😭

  13. MarcusFizer

Put some respect on MPJ. I’m usually not the biggest fan of his, but he played hard and scored well.

  14. SnooDonuts9093

I honestly thought Watson was just an energy guy with a vertical so he looked good on D because he can block a few shots. Turns out I was very wrong that man can defend

  15. BroncoSquatch

Strawther was a great pull, IMO. Props to Booth for just taking his guys even if they aren’t “mocked” in that range. Must have learned from 2017 TC

  16. Superbotto

Jokic’s last 8 games against Pelicans

7 triple doubles (+1 sombor double)

    32.1/13.1/11.3

    100-146 (68%) / 15-34 from 3 (44%) / 43-53 from FT (81%)

Someone double check me, this seems unreal.

  17. overjoyedsnorlax

Definitely gonna rewatch this one. We just 8 games in and our bench is already forming an identity. Great to see these young guys develop and contribute. Gotta respect MPJ doing it all out there

And I think our big beautiful honey has somehow levelled up again. What’s beyond 99 potential? lol dude is ridiculous man

  18. SPRTMVRNN

Shout out to the CU Buffs women’s team who took down #1 ranked LSU tonight.

    Colorado hoops owns Louisiana hoops.

  19. FatLever12

Being at the game was a tale of two halves. First half so mad and frustrated, pels couldn’t miss. We making mental lapses…. Sexism half was so sexy. All hips n nips!

Go nuggs!!!! Strawther is a bucket. Watson is developing nicely. Collin was a decent fill in.

  20. Bleppingheckk

KCP and Reggie gotta change sleeve colors or something lmfao If I had a dollar for the amount of times the announcers got them mixed up this season is, i’d probably have enough to buy me a burger at Five Guys tbh

  21. Futurebrain

Gillespie, Watson, and Strawther have legit chemistry. I love the lineup those the and with CB and AG rounding out the front court too.

  22. WeirdRedBeard

My personal championship this season so far has been Sixers having a winning record. The longer that MVP doesn’t have an excuse to leave for a superteam, the better.

  23. maddogfarm

Teammates stating that julian is perhaps the best shooter on the team what an gem, 5-9 from 3?! from an rookie thats wild, was worried with mal out but this got me relaxed

  24. Superbotto

3rd straight win and 3rd straight game outrebounding the opponent. Win the glass, win the game!!

  25. turtleviking

I really want to get a Watson jersey. But the last time I got a jersey, I got Bones at the end of his rookie season and feel responsible for his heel turn. SWatson you’re my dude but for your own good I’m just gonna hide in my usual dark spots and not taint your career.
