Reporter. You have achieved some great performances while defending. To go back to what Jeff discussed regarding defence, you said an axis for improvement was for you to better adapt to the type of players who are defending against you. Do you feel you have better succeeded in doing so tonight ?
Victor : well we study each player so much, and each being different, we rely a lot on ( I don't know what word he used, it sounded like "scouting"). I feel I am improving in that respect. I do feel I have studied the players in that game a lot, I was not defending randomly .I was making clear choices even when defending.
It s much too late now to continue. If nobody else has stepped in I ll do the rest tomorrow evening. Q2 is quite technical and is about one particular opponent,Schroeder., Q3 is not about the game but about going to see his good friend Maxime Raynaud in Stanford. Victor says he will be in California anyway, then they discuss New York, which Victor is excited about.
He’s lying. You can see it in his eyes and his face expression is in total frustration and Disappointment. I feel for him heavy rn. His teammates are literally nut hugging the basketball not passing it to him at all especially when he’s open and he knows it. There’s no reason he should be held to only 13 points when it was multiple opportunities for his teammates to let him cook. They know he’s their best player and they’re acting selfish asf. Also caoch pop needs to retire. He’s just not the same coach from the Duncan, Parker and Manu era. They need to bring in a new well minded coach able to know how to coach Wemby and the Spurs. I hope Victor doesn’t have this problem going forward in the future, we all want him to shine.

It's amazing how we all see he's open but the players on the court. It's annoying!!!. Get rid of Sochan too please, he barley contributes offensively and his defense is just as terrible

Popovich still got a lot to work with this young team. Consistancy and playing with Victor and not only using him as a decoy. But the Pacers did a good job to neutralize Victor by guarding him closely avoiding him to get the ball, closing on him as soon as he's getting it.
Vassel is definitely missing for the spurs.
Lot of trades need to happen this year and get some pickups nwct year that complement wemby
Team chemistry and confidence is still in progress, this is a goung team. If they master pop system in 3 yers and enough confidence in playing there is big chance of a title. Nxt yer playoff is a target.. Go Spurs Go

Coach Pop is in serendipity mode (making an unexpected discovery which then proves fruitful) with the youngsters, and I also think he wants them to realize that it's by going through Victor that they'll have wins/success, so he's letting them to do lot of errors.
His team-mates don't have the same maturity as Victor and, as a team and individually, they need to growing up on this aspect too.
It seems that Victor is almost "too ready" compared to the rest of the team … watch out for the frustration, maybe one or two veterans are needed to guide all this.
Give wemby more touch of the ball, trade all those players who are jealous of him

Just reading the comments it is obvious that there is a mob forming, ready to hang Pop and throw out half of the team. Geez, we’re what, 7 or 8 games in? We may need another all-star level player or two to win a championship, I’ll give you that, but even with them we’ll never win anything until they develop as a team, both on offense and defense. That requires not just throwing the ball to Victor every time. They need time to develop. Put your pitchforks and torches back in the barn and give them another season or two to grow.
This is what I want to see. It's not what he say but how he says it and his emotions. Be mad Vic! Get big mad! Stay mad!
I almost think Pop is not the coach to coach up these young guys. They need a young coach who is gonna let them run and gun. This team shouldnt be this bad. Sochan shouldnt be the starting pg either. Every screen teams go under because he is not threat to shoot, but that eliminates the roll
