Shep should play 30 min a game
The defensive intensity is the biggest thing I took away from this game!!! Everybody bought in on the defensive end which is a breath of fresh air! And what do you know the Cats look like they have finally figured out how to defend the pick and roll!!! Reed Sheppard is a difference maker. He has a unique feel for the game that will be the glue for this team when times get hard. Rod is a lightning Rod….See what I did there! DJ is a dog. And Tre's maturity and basketball IQ is exactly what this team needs! I am super excited to see how this team progresses!

This team has so much potential. We NEED to start hitting our free throws soon because they always come back to haunt us at some point during the season. Other than that, I’m loving this team already

I could tell already that free throws is a problem for this team like all other Kentucky team free throws as been a killer.if the game is tight . there free throws sucks to high hell . practice more free throws back to basics

Is it me or dj wagner did not want to pass the ball to rob lol it’s like edwards was his boyfriend or something because that’s the only person he was passing to
2nd half defense by KY was elite! NM couldn’t buy a bucket last 6 minutes
My early observation is that Kentucky has elite talent at the Guard position. The overall talent in that room has a higher ceiling than any other Kentucky team.
The Forward position is absolutely loaded as Mitchell has taken a veteran role and is very productive. Edwards will get better and be a legitimate scorer. Thiero will have lots of playing time and he really is the junk yard dog of the group. Also let’s acknowledge Burks could’ve competed to be a starter on the last few teams against Bryce Hopkins, Keion Brooks, and Jacob Toppin.
Now obviously the Center Position is a total Question mark. It could be critical to get Big Z legitimate playing time. He probably needs time to adjust and grow and having to rotate 2 other guys will slow down that process. Having 3 7 footers available just creates opportunities for the guards
I think this team will win 90% of their games this season. My prediction is this is a 4 loss team headed into March.
