Tyrese Haliburton is generating an absurd 56 points per game this season. Averaging 24.0 points and 11.7 assists on 49.0/40.0/92.9 shooting splits, Haliburton is taking the superstar leap. The Pacers also rank No. 1 in offensive rating scoring 120.4 points per 100 possessions.

2nd best point guard in the league? I think so

  1. He’s not the second best point guard in the league, Luka and Curry are both better by a fair margin, but he’s definitely climbing the ranks.

He’s off to a great start.

  2. domingodlf

You’re on crack if you think he’s the 2nd best PG in the league

  3. Jabocford

Maybe top 5. Luka and Curry are ahead and Fox is at least at his level

  4. Damn Haliburton. I owe you an apology. I wasn’t really familiar with your game.

  5. CountTwoTenAgain

Yeah but is he on Brunson and Lamelo’s level /s

  6. I would say there is an argument for him being 3rd best pg, but Steph/Luka are the top 2

  7. PaulMcPaulersn7

People saying curry when cp3 is playing the 1 this season. Obviously too early to tell cause Paul could be on the bench for the next 75 games but for now curry is the 2 this season. Still not top 2 tho.

Luka, Dame, SGA all clear (for now 🤞2024 leap incoming)

  8. Fantasy_Ball

I’ll just never be able to confidently say kings made the right move trading him away for Sabonis

  9. Ramu_1798

Trae. Luka. Dame. Booker. These are all guards that are OBJECTIVELY better than Haliburton. No offense, but his rivals atp are SGA and Fox who are also young and on the precipice of reaching superstardom. Fuck you talking about second best

  10. comments in this thread shows haliburton is still somehow underrated i have no idea what its gonna take for him not to be. maybe when he does it in the playoffs

  11. Spike94515

2nd best pg in the league? Do you have brain damage bro??

  12. rubberneck24

This would have been a haliburton love fest like op wanted but he just had to throw in the “2nd best point guard” now he’s getting cooked lol

  13. amateurdormjanitor

Instead of talking about PG rankings can we talk about the Pacers and how good Haliburton is? Goddamn.

  14. Clemsontigger16

Can’t believe how much the Pacers offense scores and how little Mathurin scores as part of that…what a disappointing start to his sophomore campaign

  15. He’s insane. I can’t wait to see him in the playoffs, I dunno why but he just looks like one of those players that will elevate.

  16. 210plus210

the Pacers offense deserves more recognition in this early part of the season – it’s ELECTRIC

they’re playing insanely fast, like 7 seconds or less offense and just running and whipping the ball around like crazy. i swear some games it seems like they don’t take any jump shots inside the arc. everyone is shooting the 3 and shooting it well. Haliburton is very clearly the orchestrator and leader of all of this

  17. Least_Inspector_450

    1. Steph 2. Luka 3a. Tyrese 3b. SGA 4. Booker

  18. Skeleboi846

Definitely should be up at the top for most improved if he can stay healthy, although if Cam Thomas keeps his production up then that’s gonna be a tough race

  19. executivesphere

How does he compare to Jokic in terms of points generated per game?

  20. Afraid-Department-35

Resident PG Sochan clouding OPs judgement.

  21. tarunpopo

I’m ngl I’ve watched hali and I like him. Hes got great shooting with his form as well.
But I think his passing is over rated, he has some decent shooters on his team. When I watched his game against the raps he wasn’t generating a lot of plays it was what rondo was doing when he lead the league in assists in sac, a good structured offense already and he just passed it to an open guy at the top without any work

  22. Middle-Welder3931

People downvoting me saying Warriors picking Wiseman is equivalent to Detroit picking Darko in ’03 because Hali and Melo are not on the level of Melo, Wade, and Bosh…are we sure? Are we sure Hali at 23 isn’t on the level of Melo, Wade, or Bosh at the same age?

  23. dat_waffle_boi

Only if you don’t consider Luka a point guard. Even then the sample size of tyrese doing this is tiny

  24. Petit_Coeur_

Ay bro delete that caption for me rq, you’re setting Tyrese up

  25. pohovanatikvica

Haliburton is seriously good but he’s definitely not the 2nd best

  26. IRanOutOf_Names

He’s insane, but he’s not 2nd best PG in the league. That would put him above 2 of Luka, Steph, and SGA. Not to mention Dame (bad start to season, still Dame).

  27. DarkoDragicevic

Few weeks too early, but sample is okay. Rick Carlisle, Hali and super balanced/probably most deep roster= Great offense. Plus, last couple all star weekend host all have terrific overachieving season Team and franchise players

  28. That stat has always been so bad. An assisted 3 is worth 6 according to it. Lol.

But it’s still amazing to be averaging that many points and assists.

  29. Reinhardtisawesom

7 games + got clamped up by Lamelo in the clutch

  30. here_for_the_lols

Hows he scoring 24 but generating 56? His 11 assists are worth 32 points?

  31. Hope he gets to play for a real franchise at some point before he gets old.

  32. Gontofinddad

The pacers quietly loaded up on all the young guys who were high potential and needed minutes to reach grow. They’re going to make Nesmith and Toppin into starter quality guys eventually.
