I just don’t agree with the concept of saving timeouts when you are on the road in OT and the crowd is going wild after a 8-0 run or whatever it was. Fuck that I’m burning my timeout to let my guys settle down and try to shift the momentum

Totally fine with not calling the timeout on the last shot of regulation. I think it’s always better to catch a good defense off guard than to allow them to set up what they want in a situation like that. I do, however, think there comes a time when you need to scrap your analytics and stop a team’s momentum and/or call a scripted play with a timeout. That time was definitely during the stretch in OT, IMO. Edwards was going off and Tatum and Brown were starting to play bad hero ball during that stretch.

No timeout during the 3 straight failed iso/mismatch hunts leading to 3 straight Wolves buckets in OT is absolute insanity.
I don’t care what his philosophy is, it’s wrong in that context. Call a fucking timeout. He’s the ONLY professional coach that doesn’t/wouldn’t. I get he stands on it, but it looks stupid even when/if it works.
