What have you thought of Bennedict Mathurin's early season play?
He still has a ways to go defensively. On the other end he will be fine
Benedict is working so hard on his weaknesses that he has lost focus on his strengths! He is only 21. He will be fine
Nesmith should be starting SG. Starting Mathurin at SF is fine. Yet Nesmith does more with less mins.. They can take Mathurin out towards end of the first. Bring Buddy in, push Nesmith to SF at that point. Let them finish the quarter. Then start Nembhard/Mathurin/Brown/Walker/Smith.. Could add Nwora or whoever else in there. Then Bring back the other's. Then sit Nesmith for Mathurin. Give TJ, Nwora, Shepp mins in the 3rd and possibly some to start the 4th. Then Go back to Hali/Nesmith/Mathurin/Obi/Turner to close out most of the 4th. Depending on who's playing better out of Nesmith and Mathurin. Pull the one playing worst and bring Heild back in to finish out the game with Hali. Maybe pull both if they're lacking, or tired you could also swing Bruce in there. So many different thing's they could do to make the team more fluid and get the most out of everyone.
I've been wondering what it would be like to add another combo, shoot first guard in Immanuel Quickly. Move Hali to Point-SG. The speed, shooting, handling and everything would improve. Especially if and when we ever decide to make a move on a true wing SF.. Also trading Jackson and Theis.
Benedict is TRYING TO HARD. He needs to get out of his own way. Also, if Rick wanted him to start THIS YEAR, he should've started him LAST YEAR. He looks LOST with the starters many times. Neismith should be the starter. The chemistry is much better. His defense has been terrible if I'm being honest. He's the weak link.
