Dallas plays much better than they did at the end of last season but so far the only high level team they faced was Nuggets and they got a bad beating. They played Memphis, Charlotte, the worst teams in the league and Spurs in their first game with Wemby. When they beat any of the favourites you can start to draw conclusions.

The back to back dagger 3s from Luka to Kyrie last game (or the one before that, can’t remember) sent chills down my spine. If they get their chemistry down, I’ll be very very excited
The team did well adding minor pieces but luka is still not analytically top 5 and is streaky and still attackable. i like the roster but this team is still flawed and probably a 4 seed at best when everybodys healthy.
I actually watched a few Mavs games from beginning to end. Luka is absolutely talented, but he's Harden 1.5.
Until I see him actively & consistently putting in the work defensively and doing more than simply standing around coasting on offense when he doesn't have the ball, then I don't want to hear about a Luka revenge tour (unless he proves me wrong of course).

But regarding the defensive end of the floor he's engaged and has been earning some key defensive stops, he's getting there 24 years old.
Everybody forgot Luka's a baaaad man. The team around him got better. Ky and him just needed time to develop chemistry.
Grant Williams was such a boon for this team. If he can continue to hit open shots and get more team buy in on defense, Dallas will only get better.

Luka is better owre-all player then Tatum, Tatum have only better defense, but Luka is not any more that bad in defense.
