Maxey was clutch that 4th quarter. Embiid was not really himself offensively in the 4th. Tobi and Maxey stepped up.

  2. Philly-lifegoeson

The Celtic took 47 3s with many of them uncontested.

  3. Calcutta637

Our starters were absolutely toying with theirs at the end there. Don’t care if the refs helped them back. Celtics got SHAT ON

  4. Science4me12

Covington help defense is elite. And he even managed to dribble without turnover today.

Everyone talks about Maxey’s improvement on offense, but his defense also takes a step forward. He got killed by any kind of screen before. I was really surprised that he could navigate through screens relatively well.

Kind of nice that we finally have defenders that can stay in front of the Jays

  5. LuckyCulture7

Small subplot, the Paul Reed victory tour continues. That man did his job tonight and he is always crashing the board.

  6. chin1111

The Celtics and Bucks shuffled their rosters around this offseason and are still dealing with the accompanying growing pains. The Bucks defense is in disarray, and the Celtics are very top-heavy now.

Ball handling, defense and shooting. Those are the three things Morey is looking for in our trade target. This game somewhat illuminates what we need most. We shot terribly on open shots, could definitely use one more steady hand on the ball, but I would say our defense was pretty solid. We just need a guy who is serviceable on defense and not to trade away all this new wing depth to cover for better shooting and playmaking. Anyways, FTC!

Nothing warms my heart more than seeing old man Al and that no left hand having ass Jaylen Brown and that Dollar Store Kobe Jayson Tatum get cooked.

Lol all jokes aside great win I think we played solid defense combined with rough shooting from the Js for the most part. Love that we have some wings with long arms and decent feet we can throw out there now. Would like to see RoCo or Oubre in for Melton down the stretch as I think they have more size and length on the defensive end + Oubre can give us a little more off the bounce from what I’ve seen so far. Gutsy win.

  8. Friendly-Rough-3164

Nurse is really open about his thoughts in the post game presser huh

  9. mac_rmm

Great win against one of the three or four best teams in the league – can’t really complain. Melton had rough game but he is normally better. It definitely does highlight our main weakness going forward – secondary ball handler and backcourt partner to Maxey.

Smart, Caruso, Brogdon – all candidates. Delon Wright as another lesser option. Maybe one of the Orlando guards if they get rid of someone.

  10. geriatric team having some trouble in the 4th

  11. VoidMageZero

Very satisfying win tonight. Not the best finish, but a win is a win. ![img](emote|t5_2scmr|5865)

  12. AggroPro

More proof that Glenn Rivers is an actual terrorist.

  13. fuckbrocolli

It’s crazy listening to Nurse talk at the post game conferences and realizing how much smarter he is than Glenn Rivers. We really wasted 3 years with that clown.

  14. MumenriderPaulReed69

Should be #1 in power rankings now! Not that we give a Fuck! Also Brown is overpaid as hell Celtics ain’t winning shit with him

  15. Calcutta637

Loved that end bit by nurse there. Wanna see cov and/or batum in the starting lineup some point

  16. SamHinkiesNephew

Notice Kork got banished to the shadow realm after his b2b turnovers first half.

  17. Bri83oct

Nets beat the Clippers. James Harden is a bitch

  18. MaxeytoEmbiid

    Post game thoughts:
-I thought Maxey battled tonight. For those who’ve advocated for him to just hoist 3’s because why not, he did that(11 3’s). And it’s why I’m more of an advocate of rhythm shooting, not just hunting random shots. Because he was elite finishing at the rim(8-for-16 2FGA). Just torching the interior of that Celtics defense. 9 Rebounds, 2 blocks. Just tenacious fighting all game long. There was the end game pressure but I wanna leave a separate note for that. B+ game by Tyrese.

-Joel Embiid felt dominant, then you look at the box score and go ‘Oh, some things to clean up’. 6 TOV, can’t happen. Loved the usual aggression offensively, especially the tenacity on the defensive end. A game, but gotta clean up turnovers.

Player of the game is actually Patrick Beverly, big second half minutes for him. Nick Nurse made the mistake of subbing him out, and I think he’d want that one back if he could. Pesky defender, decent ball handler and I trust him more than today’s dud to make a shot.

So let’s get to today’s dud, it’s the guy I hate the most and the next guy I wanna trade out of town: De’Anthony Melton. Ovverrated because he got hot last January, he’s been on a steady decline since, and is now unplayable.

Like, what does he give you? He doesn’t spread the floor, he’s not really a jump shooter and his handles are worse than his finishing. His defense is ‘eh’, you got more out of ROCO tonight in 1/3rd of the minutes.

It’s clear we need a SG. Do we have to go as far as Lavine? Nah, just better than De’Anthony Melton.

  19. yankees7210

The System with 12 pts and 5 TO 👀

  20. Calcutta637

And I just wanna say remember how the fucking vibe was here not even a month ago. The haters were right no hope waste of a year and embiid. Uch get absolutely fucked assholes. Y’all suck and are wrong

  21. Prestigious-Rock201

I’m crying boys we got a fucking squad, this team legit is better than the butler era team omg.

We don’t even need a major move, someone like brogdan would suffice

  22. belgiumwaffles

Just gonna sucker us back in and make us believe again. God damn here we go

  23. “tHe ClIpPeRs FlEeCeD tHe SiXeRs” – r/nba

  24. 215gobirdss

The whole city needs to file a class action lawsuit against Glenn Rivers for intentional infliction of emotional distress.

  25. Philly-lifegoeson

We had a big rebounding edge and Maxey had 9 boards

  26. EaglesPvM

Watched the last couple mins of that clips game and wow I got PTSD for that Harden turnover and him just dribbling away stalemating the offense

I’m so in on this Sixers team

  27. Science4me12

    Clippers, with 4 future HOF, can’t beat a team missing 4 starters…..

  28. 8pieces_simple

Ended in typical Sixers fashion that shows we still aren’t ready.

  29. RichieD79

#NICK NURSE AND MOREY GOT US A FUCKING SQUAD, BOYS!!!

This team beat Boston and played Milwaukee close af. They can win the East. Let’s get this done.

  30. jpk7220

I like Melton…he’s good value, but it’ll be mistake to rely on him in the playoffs. I think it’s becoming clear they’ll need to upgrade that position. He’s too inconsistent and a bad finisher. I like him as a regular season player who can have some good games, defensively and shooting, but he can’t start come April. Maybe you slide Oubre to the 2, Harris to the 3, and Markannen to the 4 if Lauri is the guy they want. Or OG/Mitchell at the 2 if that’s the direction they go in.

  31. FEDORAS_4_SALE

Like a week or two ago Morey was the worst GM in the league and Embiid was gonna request a trade. Y’all gotta chill

  32. BadKarmaForMe

    ![gif](giphy|ZN3jVXH3jZaXKivytT|downsized)

  33. T4hunderb0lt

Morey fleeced the Clips. Maxey and Embiid had a terrible shooting night but we still had enough firepower to win. This roster is fucking great.

  34. Harden needed Embiid more than Embiid needed him.

  35. flanneled_man

We beat the C’s AND we got that hilarious clip Marc reacting to Jim saying “big dose of D”. All around fantastic evening.

  36. JETMAKX

Nick Nurse and his defensive schemes will turn Embiid into the NBA’s **OBVIOUS** DPOY. The Celtics were absolutely scared to score in the paint tonight.

  37. shadowarmy229

And the Bucks are trailing the fucking Pistons lmao

  38. AggroPro

I think we broke Mazulla y’all, his post game presser is cringe AF

  39. merv_havoc

Melton obviously read James Bradberry’s book on how to single handedly almost lose your team a game

  40. jeppsforst

I can’t believe the clippers gave us their entire depth plus multiple 1st rounders for another old former superstar that needs the ball in his hands

  41. jimmyjak87

    I had a 6 leg parlay and last leg I needed was Joel double double. 9 rebounds…. 8 seconds…. I was convinced I was fucked again…. but alas……. ☺️☺️☺️☺️
