YIKES! Indiana loses by 51-points to Celtics in an UGLY game from start to finish (Game Recap Pod)

Alex and Facci didn’t have anything good to say after this one. A historically bad performance from top to bottom for the blue and gold. The guys discuss Daniel Theis not playing, the first pool game of the in-season tournament coming up on Friday and how Jarace Walker/Ben Sheppard scored their first NBA points in the 4th quarter.

  1. As a Celtics fan living in Indiana, that was a tough watch. I was happy as hell because my guys are looking ready for title 18, but conflicted because I want to see the Pacers do well. Take the ass whooping n build from it.

  2. Celtics fan here. I had the most fun watching the pacers when TJ was on the floor. That guy competes why does he not start or come off that bench early?

  3. I'm a Celtics fan just wondering how you guys like Nesmith. I liked him a lot, but knew he wasn't gonna be some crazy 3 point shooter even though everybody thought shooting 50% for like 12 games in college was somehow indictive of him being a lights out shooter. He does have great energy and effort, even though it leads to him falling A LOT

  4. Celtics fans here, on the bright side, ik there wasn’t much defense being played, but Isaiah Jackson was really good out there. He had had 4 blocks and was the only one who can guard their man

  5. The other night I watched Atl Hawks give up 72points to the Wolves in the first half but came back to win the game, I thought I was gonna see that with my Pacers but by mid 3rdQ. I just had to cut the game off. That game was reminded of the Nets when the backup unit blew us off the floor and Edmond was looking like the 2nd coming of KD. I saw red flags when we played the Cavs and then the Bulls, I’m hoping this season won’t be a repeat of the last two 🤦🏽‍♂️ buutttt I’m still not gonna overreact since we’re only 4 games in🤞

  6. As a Celtics fan, Indiana looked really small at like every position outside of Obi and Turner. The Celtics have been called small every year, but at their positions they aren't, especially with KP now. Jrue and White are like 6'5, Tatum and Brown are 6'10 and 6'7, and KP is like 8 feet tall. Even before KP and Jrue though they were only small at center even though people called them small because Horford is only 6'9. I don't think having little guys at the wing and guys like McConnell (that's the little white guy's name right?) aren't gonna be enough to contend with all the big guards around the league even though McConnell looks like a really talented player for his size. Was it just me or is Indiana too small all around except for your bigs, Obi, and Haliburton?

  7. I was shocked when the announcer said that the next Celtics game is the only national game you're gonna have. I would expect more with a young star like Haliburton. The Celtics first 2 games were national TV games already, that means half their games have been national so far. They have something like 27 national games this year which is crazy and i6 don't like it because I really like Mike Gorman announcing and he only does home games and he's retiring at the end of the year so I feel like all these national games are stealing his games away from me.

  8. The Celtics haven't won like this since like 4 years ago in Chicago. Funny enough Daniel Theis was the starting center for Boston and he had a game high plus minus of like +52 or something like that.

  9. The difference I see in last season’s Celtics team and this season’s Celtics team is they are taking care of the teams they should beat and making them tap out. Last season, the Celtics would come out and act like the Pacers or Wizards would lay down because this player was out and end up losing. Not this season. Celtics are giving its fan the 2008 vibes.

  10. We gave up when haliburton gave up on playing the Celtics. Dude is out every other game shouldn’t get paid for games he doesn’t play when he definitely can play So he stepped on jalen smiths foot is why he was out? Lol only person should of been out was smith cuz he went down hard vs the bulls

  11. Celtic fan here. Couldn't help but think about how Carlyle misused Porzingis in Dallas, leaving him in the corner and no game near the basket or defense.

  12. When they realize to run plays for Nesmith and start him at SG, or at least SF.. I'd try SG and bench Bruce Brown. Nesmith is the better player.. Offensive to Defensive player.. Dude can shoot off the dribble, off screen's, catch n shoot. Takes smart shots, not selfish, can drive the basketball and guards the best player's. Can the guy not get a starting role??? Stats don't lie, he makes the majority of his shots and he's a great defender. Plays way better than most anyone and gets less minutes… It's ridiculous, ignorant and bs. Idc what you paid Brown, bring him off the bench. We need scoring with defense. He's a really good player and they don't utilize him at all… They run 0 plays for anyone.. I don't get it. Just like I knew before the season started Smith would and should be the backup C. He shown he deserved it, I've been right about many thing's. I've been saying Nesmith should be a starter forever now.. I don't understand the fascination with Bruce Brown playing like 35 minutes… smdh.

Trade Theis already while he's had a great overseas run. Get a pick or young player. Throw Jackson in that trade too, he's terrible. Bring in Oscar to play 3rd string C minutes and develop him. He's a potential REBOUNDING machine we need. Only 6'9, but 7'4 wingspan and 260.. Try and trade for a young rookie wing. Sign Bobi Klintman this coming Draft. We should be able to get a pretty good player for TJ and or Heild if they ever decide to trade them at some point.

  13. Dont fool yourself..NOBODY is talking about that game. It was the Celtics vs Pacers, it was really a 32pt win..but the Pacers gave up 43pts in the 4th to our bench.

  14. As a celtic fan and seeing this blowout game, for me, is just an anomaly. The Pacers should just forget about this game. It is a game that at first hurts, but you recover quickly and move on to the next. Its one game. It is easy to forget. When you lead up to the last 1 minute of the game and lose by 4 or 5, now that's a game that is hard to forget.
