Nikola Jokic evaluates Trayce Jackson-Davis: “To be honest, he didn’t look like — uh maybe in some situations — he doesn’t look like rookie. They put him in a system and he accepted the system. And he didn’t feel like he was like a rookie. Besides maybe some situations”

Imagine Jokic on our team with Steph/Klay on each corner. My lord.

Trayce actually looks very poised and has a good feel of the game. He always contributes.

A rookie in just his 2nd week, at that. He had a total of 37 NBA game minutes (regular season) under his belt prior to last night. Kerr’s overt preference for 4 year college players has become a sort of meme these days, but TJD is a perfect example of why it is and has always been Kerr’s preferred player archetype when drafting.

TJD gotta be feeling good right about now

I really like his feel on setting picks and boxing out. Things which are not glamorous but so important.
